These kittens were abandoned two days ago in a box on a Petsmart shelf. They are now about 4 weeks old and weigh 10 ounces.

Oh so little. Who could just abandon them like that? The top one reminds me of my Jellybean who passed on last year. I love orange marmalade kittens... and black kittens... and tiger kittens... and, oh hell, just kittens in general.

What sweethearts, I cannot believe that people do what they do and then can actually live with themselves. On the upside at least it was Petsmart and not a random dumpster or park. People make me so sad sometimes and then there are people like you who restore my faith in humanity. You are truly the kitty cat's angel. Thank you so much for doing what you do and for sharing all the sweetness with us.

Awww, they look so tiny and helpless but cute of course (((little kitties)))
No names for them yet? I can't tell if there's three or four?

So tiny! Hmmm Thanksgiving themed names.....all I can think is flavors of pie: Pumpkin, Sweet-potato, and Pecan. I guess Petsmark is better than most places kittens get dumped. Chances are high that the people walking by actually like animals. My childhood kitty Lilly was dumped with her litter mates on the side of a grocery store. My mom was looking for cardboard boxes for moving and heard the mewing.

I cant believe how small they are for 4 weeks. I just wonder how much longer they would have made it on their own. Keep us posted with lots of pictured please!

I think the two orange ones are boys and the other is a girl.

Yes, they are definitely underweight. They should be around a pound by now.
They are very friendly and had no fleas so I think they were with somebody that tried to take care of them. They might have been with a Momkat that got killed and then it went downhill from there.

And I asked for orange ones for halloween.... ADORABLE! What I wanna know - how in heaven's name did someone walk into a Petsmart with 3 kittens or 3 kittens in a box and nobody noticed?

One of my 2 kitties was a rescue that was dropped a few towns away at a Del Monte can factory. She was one of only a couple that survived. I am so glad someone gave a damn and brought them to our shelter. Her name is still Delmonte but we like to call her Boo.

I'm glad that if those people had to dump the kittens at least they put some thought into it to give them a chance to be found by someone who'd care. Kritter to the rescue!
Four weeks old, they still need their mummy. Poor little poppets.

Squee! I'm glad that the person dumping them had the foresight to leave them at a pet store. Poor little teeny weenies. And while the two orange ones are adorable the dark one is my favorite.

That is what I was thinking about last night. It must have been early when the store first opened or right before closing because every time I walked into that store from carrying things to and from my car, somebody at the first cash registrar asked if they could help me.
The story that I got was that they were found in a box on a shelf so the box most likely came with them.
I have been so busy trying to keep them clean and fed that we have not discussed names yet.
And then there are the Halloween kits running rampant in the foster bedroom. It is time for them to leave because Sabrina seems to be getting attached to them.
I have to go pick up meds for them across town by noon so I need to get crackin'.

Did you just say Sabrina is getting attached to the Halloween kittens? The first one does have a disapproving look on it's face much like the human newbies do when they're just born

Looks that way. She let Skittles actually brush up against her this morning.
Just noticed that today is chocolate cupcake day. If anybody deserves cupcakes today, it is me. Just sayin'.

Geez, kritter. First batch of cats that Sabrina actually likes and you want to give them away. No wonder Sabrina has issues Just kidding. I'm just glad she's loosening up.

I was going to stop and pick up some cupcakes on the way home but forgot about it until I was already here and dosing out medicine.
The rest of the day will be spent in the yard so I guess I will have to wait until nest year for my chocolate cupcakes.

LOLOL For the kittens.
I need baked goods.
The rescue told me that she has had 5 more emails this weekend inquiring about adopting Candy. I am happy with the lady that preadopted her.
