Mia gives them funny looks like why in the heck do they want this fat squalling thing cause all it does is yell and eat.
She was testy at first, but now I think she is kind of liking having an occasional break from monster kitten and being able to just do what she wants. When she has her fill of Auntie interference she marches over and grabs him and drags him under the bed and I know it is time to get them out of the room. She is a sweet cat and has a nice home lined up for her after baby is weaned.

Changed the title to the Christmas Kittens because there is no way they will make their surgery weight by Thanksgiving.
Will get some good pics once things settle down around here and the Halloween kittens leave on Saturday. I am totally in the weeds right now.
The Christmas Kittens are Klaus, the orange tabby, Kringle, the orange/white one, and Jingle, the tabby.

Sabrina will miss all of them. She has become a lot more active in the last couple of weeks with them around.
She even did a kinda play jump at Skittles this morning when he ran by her.
Hopefully she will like the new kittens when they move into the foster bedroom after it is cloroxed for the umpteenth time.

Good for Sabrina, little Skittles broke down her resistance and hopefully she will be more receptive to other kittens in the future.

I just made 30 little toy bags for the rescue to give out with adoptions between now and Christmas. I usually make them for the Humane Society cat adoptions but since I am more involved with the rescue this year, they will get them. I buy all the Christmas cat toys and cat toy stockings from Walmart at 75% off after Christmas and then put them away until I make the bags for the next Christmas.

That's a wonderful idea.
I will have to remember to pick some up this year so I can do that for next year.

Cool idea, kritter. Can you use the edible treats too (provided they won't expire before the next christmas)?

I have never used the edible treats because of the possible diarrhea factor with the kittens.
Those stockings are jammed full of toys and I get them for $1.25 each when they hit the 75% off stage. There are always bunches of them left over that go on sale. Every year I think they won't buy them for the next year because they have so many left to mark down but they are always there.

Those big cat stockings usually have oodles of toys in them and I've seen them marked down to 90% off.
I just put a note in my phone so I remember to buy then this year.
See Kritter, a smart phone is actually good for something after all.

I must be really smart because I can remember to buy them even without a phone to remind me.
I am betting 75% off will go for Walmart on the Saturday after New Years day.
I clear out the stockings at 75% off so they never make it to 90% off.

What a cool way to be able to pull off doing such a nice thing! I see those stockings marked down 70-90% after the holidays & never thought of doing that. I will from now on.
A church near me keeps a shopping cart in their front entryway for food donations. I bring pet food over there any chance I can. (toilet paper, toothpaste-anything I can get at a sharp discount) I know it will all be useful, esp. the the furbaby food. Too many good people out there are probably doing without & giving their animals what they get for themselves from the food pantry.

Hell, there are some days I wouldn't remember to get out of bed if the alarm didn't go off. That's 2 months away, no way I would remember without making a note somewhere. Smartypants

LOL I have done it for so many years that it just comes natural. In fact, I stalk them when they are 50% off and that is the first place I go when the 75% off comes into play.
They have the dog stockings too but I pass them by.

Petti, we should be living closer to each other.
No telling what all we would be getting in to. Getting a Smart Phone or eating soup would so not be happening.

That just leave more soup for me. And my smart phone tells me when it's on sale at the grocery store.

Every time I put Kringle and Jingles in the same cage, kitten wrestling to the death breaks out with accompanying screaming and crying.
I put their cages next to each other and now they are wrestling through the bars with accompanying screaming and crying.
They are tough little street kittehs.

Maybe you need to change those cute names to the Undertaker and Cold Stone Steve Austin! (WWF wrestlers) LOL

Our cats are 13 and still wrassle vehemently, body slamming each other and yowling. LB is a genius at one-paw take downs - she's 7 1/2 lb but can flip almost 9 lb Cassie on her back with one paw and a little leverage - she's a really good wrestler. They also do the thing that human wrestlers do where they square off and start swiping each other on the forehead with one paw (hand). I see them rolling over and over each other in the driveway battling away. Fortunately, they then stop and lick each other and go on their way, and it's fun, not vicious (I've seen vicious - we've broken up a few cat fights on our deck when Cassie decides that some neighbour cat - usually a large, annoying one, has gotten into her face). So long as no one gets hurt I'm all for them practicing their chops - they need to be able to defend themselves outdoors.

I love that Jingles and Kringle picture! How did you get them to pose? I was talking "Kitten Speak" to them. Sometimes they listen, most of the time, they don't.

Those are the 2 that wanted to beat each other up?
They have certainly mellowed out, Kitten Speak really works.

Yes, those were the two that were fighting through the bars of their cage.
Kitten speak only works if they are listening.

Between Kitten Speak and the 4 bigger kittens they have sure gotten with the program.
They all make a nice looking kindle of kittens.
