The Halloween Kittens

Introducing the Halloween Kittens-the latest fosters at Kritter city.  I have had them for a week but they were in such bad condition healthwise that I wanted to wait to share them after I felt they would be OK.

They are 9 weeks old but still underweight so they will probably be here for another two weeks or so.  They are also a little shy on socialization skills as they were trapped with their feral Mom.   They are coming along slowly but surely.

They are adorable.

You have really brought them a long way already.

Skittles is the one that crashed on me last Sunday night. If I hadn't had sub-q fluids, I don't think he would have made it to the vet on Monday morning.

All are now eating good and gaining weight.

Awww, I think they're just as cute as the last bunch! I'm glad Snickers pulled through, my mom had a cat named Snickers So there's four of them? I thought you said 3?

I must have been lying if I said 3 because there are four of them. There were 3 in the last bunch and they have all been adopted.

Candy and Skittles are in the foster bedroom with Sabrina. They are the most friendly at the moment so they get a little more freedom. The other two are in separate cages in my living room.

I was really glad that Skittles pulled through too. Losing a kitten is not a good way to close out the foster kitten season.

I love the white toes on Skittles and KitKat, I have a bit of a cat paw fetish.

Candy is going to be a very elegant looking cat when she gets a bit older, I bet.

Candy is a Snowshoe. She has the white paws too.

Skittles started out as the hissypants until he crashed 24 hours after he got here. Since I had to handle him so much when he was recovering, he has gotten better.

KitKat is now the hissiest of the bunch.

Snickers flees when he sees me like I have an ax in my hand aimed at his head.

I am getting ready to go in and read with Sabrina and the two kits so we will see how this works out.

Candy is going to be a beauty. She has the loudest purr going on too.

Snickers does have that 'oh help, they are going to kill me' look that some ferals get.

But that you can let them out of the cages at all is great progress.

He will settle in with time, especially when he sees the other ones calming down.

You are my hero Kritter, thank you for taking so many hard cases this season.

Awwww, look at those little white feetsies on Skittles. And Candy is VERY pretty. She could end up a very spoilt pussycat if she plays her cards right.

I'm so glad to hear they are doing good. These were the ones that were pooping everywhere? They are just super cute.

Yes, Jelly these were the ones that had the massive diarrhea.

They were 8 weeks old when I picked them up and only weighed one pound. Eight week old kittens should weigh at least two pounds because that is the usual age/weight here for spay/neuter.

They were virtually skin and bones. I almost lost Skittles 24 hours after I had them here. Fortunately he pulled through but he was lucky that he was in foster and not at the shelter on a Sunday night.

Sabrina made it through the night without being totally traumatized by Candy and Skittles. However, she is not a happy camper. No motherly instinct in that girl.

Unknown, nope, no orange but we have exceeded the black Halloween requirement for sure.

Skittles has the most purrsonality of the bunch.

He was continually voicing his concerns over their treatment with the medicine and their cages as soon as he got back on his feet. He must be their union rep.

Candy is the sweetest. She will purr if you just look at her. Probably some Ragdoll in her history.

Those adorable little fuzzbutts are so lucky to have found their way to Kritter City.  
They'll be doing the Sparkle & Shine thing in no time!

If I could have cats, I would jump in my car right this second and drive to your place and pick them all up! They are all so adorable!! I'm afraid my German Shepherds might look on them as squeaky toys.   So no cats here.

These guys are really cute but I think the Mitten Kittens, Mandy, Mazie, and Molly, were pretty cute too.

Snickers has progressed to the purring stage and will probably go into the foster bedroom with Candy and Skittles tomorrow.

Now I just have to work more with KitKat.
