Doesn't matter even if they're short haired, they still need brushing and they shed like crazy. I'm with shirley - cat hair on my clothing is a given.

Well, I went to pick up an Angora cat with a serious URI and ended up instead with 3 four week old kittens that had been left on a shelf at Petsmart.
Just gave them a bath and got them settled for now.
Met the lady that is going to adopt Candy. She wanted to preadopt her so she wouldn't have to come tearing into town from Bandera running cars off the road as soon as Candy was officially up for adoption.

Sabrina is a Ragdoll from a breeder. Most all the others are mixes of who knows what.
I haven't really had time to examine Kenya that closely with all the other stuff going on here. Her hair seems to be growing back in places and then in other places like her paws, there seems to be less hair there.
As long as she is not licking herself raw, we are OK for now. Funny thing that with all that grooming, you would think she would be barfing hairballs. But never have seen one from her and being in my bedroom, I would notice.

Yep, somebody just walked into the store and left the kittens in a box on a shelf. One of the employees ordering from the floor stock heard them scrambling around in the box.
The URI kitty went home with the rescue. I have more time to deal with small kittens with unknown issues than she does.

Dang, you just got the cages out of the living room and now more kittens. I want to slap whoever left those kittens like that. You are a glutton for kitten punishment.  Love the story about Candy's new mom.  |

LOL I know. I hadn't even stored the cages away yet. Just got them washed and dried but they go in the closet in the foster bedroom so didn't want to wrangle with the kittens while putting them away.
I really hadn't planned to take kittens but she had picked up three other kittens when she picked up the URI kitty at the kill shelter so that would have really swamped her with kittens that we didn't have any history on. These guys were a hot mess but they cleaned up pretty good. May need some eye and poop meds but that is just standard with these little foundlings.
They each weigh 10 ounces so will be here for awhile. Sabrina will be thrilled.

Curious what you usually use for eyes. I keep Terramycin ointment on hand for that.

Terramycin is what I use too. Just took pics of the new kittens because I knew it was only a matter of seconds before the pic nagging began.  |

Skittles has fallen in love with Sabrina.
He follows her around everywhere trotting right by her side. She hasn't whacked him yet but does give him a hiss when he gets too bothersome.

If he is looking for a mother replacement he is meowing up the wrong cat tree.
Sabrina is about as maternal as a rock.

Talked to the rescue last night and she got an email about preadopting Skittles.
Snickers and KitKat will probably go to another foster home for a week or so after they are neutered as they need a little more finishing school type of exposure. The foster has two young boys that are great with kittens and will socialize them a little more. Right now those two would rather run and play with each other than interact with me while Skittles and Candy will not stay out of my lap when I sit down.

Skittles is a clown. He has so much to say and has such a whiny little voice.
If he gets too close, she will give him a warning hiss but thats about it. By the time he leaves, they will be sleeping together.
Now there is another person contacting the rescue about adopting him. His popularity rate is increasing but Candy has had 6 inquiries about her.
