My daffodils are looking better, but not enough flowers yet. But it might SNOW this weekend!

Snow? That is nuts. It was 82 here today and I actually turned on the AC when I took my nap cause the house was so hot and stuffy.

I don't think I like you anymore, kritter. I think we finally had the last freeze, so flowers should start arriving. Some have but dang the patios pots are outrageously expensive this year!

In the pic with the yellow roses by the CAT? The plant with the pick flowers? That is Guara. I have 6 more pots of Guara to plant that I got at Lowes last week for $1.50 each. .

I like the Guara. How much sun can it take?
How do you water all those plants Kritter? Do you have a watering system or do you have to water them all individually?

Guara are full sun or part sun. They are pretty hardy.
No watering system here except my hose but for years we have been on water restriction so only hose watering is allowed at any time of day.
The watering issue along with wanting a cat friendly yard were what prompted me to ditch grass and go for more plant landscaping. Once the plants I have get established, I may water once or twice a week during the dead of summer. I use a lot of mulch which helps plus I have trees that started as volunteers but are now big and provide shade at different times of day.
My system for watering during the summer is one evening I will trek the hose around the backyard and water and then another evening, I will do the same in front. I haven't had to water so far this spring because we have had way more rain than usual.

Luckily I am on a well here, so water isn't an issue. But I'm still really conscious of how much I am using.
I may try some of the guara. I have an area that is pretty blank and needs some plants. My yard is pretty much all gravel and I have areas of shrubs that are all bowled so it's easier and more efficient to water.

Kritter I love your roses. I just hinted to my husband and kids that I would like some more rose bushes for Mother's Day. I had to leave most of mine behind when we moved.

Thanks, wardrobe.
Those are just a few of them. I think I have more roses than just about anything else now.

So pretty! I keep meaning to take some flower pictures but it's dreary and raining now. This is our first spring in this house and I planted at least 100 bulbs. Still making it our own and learning what's already here.

The pink ones were here when we moved in (18 years ago), but since it was fall I didn't know it! So I planted a bunch of other colors and they look really pretty together.

I really like that first poppy colored one. I've never seen that color before and it is stunning.

Shirley, I love those red ones too. I think I may have to dig them up this fall and divide them because they are not blooming as well as they did. They may be overcrowded where they are.
ETA: I love those roses of kritters (post #63) that looks like someone dripped paint on them. Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

Since my roses are taking a blooming break, the other plants have picked up the slack. Pentas are blooming all over the front and back beds.

Not sure what this plant is but I call it the Trumpet tree. I have 4 of them that I planted at the same time but they are all different sizes. This is the second to the largest and the first one to bloom.

Kritter I think your tree is an angel trumpet, that is what I've always called it anyways. LOVE it.
Ok looked it up, yours is the Mango Crush variety/color. Interesting tidbit it's poisonous and several people have died trying to use it as a hallucinogen and it's banned in some areas.
