I took this pic Monday (3-16-15) afternoon. They weren't even up Monday morning! Gotta love crocuses.

Thank you for posting this beautiful picture. With our yard still covered in snow, it's nice to remember that there is a life after the snow.

Thank you for the picture! We are just starting to see the grass peek through the snow here so it's nice to see some flowers. I can't wait for spring to arrive.

We JUST melted off the last of the snow, but the ground is still frozen so we have mud up the wazoo! DH puts straw down in the worst spots but with the wind we had today, most of it blew away. Yesterday's 70 degrees was a wonderful reprieve, but today was back in the 30's.
I hope more will come along and post their flower pics here. I love flowers!

Can't wait to have some flowers! Those are beautiful! It's so hard to imagine full trees and green grass after all these months of snow cover.

Lowes has 1 quart Lantanas on sale this week for $2 each.
I think I am going to get some for fillers. They are major hardy. I think they may be weeds in disguise.

I had my driveway wall replaced last summer and I know that I lost most of my snapdragons. But it looks like a lot of the daffodils might have made it.
Can't wait until they bloom.

The bougainvillaea by my back door. It is huge and next on the "cutting back" block.

Hell, I'd be happy to see a blooming dandelion. The brown is especially depressing this year.

Same here, Val. Everything is brown & muddy. I'd settle for some green grass or a dandyliom

This spring we are blooming earlier than usual because there was no big freezeback. I didn't lose one plant to the cold over the winter.
Usually we have a short cold season but some hard freezes thrown in. This year we had a longer overall cold season but no hard freezes.
My giant jasmine plant is covered with buds and just starting to ope. I am waiting to take a pic when it is in full bloom.

Hell, I'd be happy to see a blooming dandelion. The brown is especially depressing this year. This reminds me of the first year we moved in to this house. I had read about naturalizing crocuses in the grass, so I just had to do it. Bought about 200 little crocus bulbs in mixed colors, threw them in the grass and planted them where they landed. The next spring I was ecstatic when they all started popping out of the ground. I had planted white, dark purple, light purple, and yellow ones. They all got buds and I was just waiting for them to bloom. Then came the lousy rabbits! They ate every single white and purple one, leaving me with the yellow ones that DH said looked like dandelions in March! We came really close to having rabbit stew!

Here's the newest plant at my house. All I'll have to do is dust it occasionally!

Thanks, Kritter. I probably need to add some lizards to that grouping. Oh, wait - I won't have to. The lizards just show up on their own!

Tabby, those frogs are adorable! And the lizards are too! What are they? We don't get lizards here, just garter snakes and the occasional salamander in the garden.
