Well, I don't have a beautiful water pond or much of anything at this little beach shack. I do have morning glories though. They were supposed to be Heavenly Blue so I don't know why they are pink.

When we moved into our house, this area was really just a pile of rocks. Now I really like it, except for those little dwarf evergreen trees that DH just had to have. They aren't doing very well there. May have to move them. I'd like to get one of those solar lampposts to put here.

The little landscape is a work of art. The colors, the varying textures, it's beautiful.
Are those echinacea in back? And what are the red daisy-like flowers on the right?

Thats beautiful Sunset.
Great variety of colors and textures.
How did you get them to bloom all at the same time?

The red and the tall light pinkish purple ones are coneflowers (echinacea), the white one behind the red is called obedient plant. The spiky purple ones are some kind of salvia I think. There's some lavender hiding in there along with some alyssum. The yellow ones are coreopsis and there are some white cone flowers hiding in the back. There is some blue-eyed grass in there that is already finished blooming, but sometimes give me a second bloom late in the summer. I have crocuses and Pushkinia that bloom in the early spring and are gone by the time these get going.
Shirley, I have no idea how we got these all to bloom at once, but they do every summer. It's actually getting too crowded and we are going to have to divide some of them next year.

It's been very rainy here so mushrooms are sprouting everywhere. I found these today while walking the dogs. I've been amazed at the rainbow of colors, shapes and sizes of the mushrooms I've found. BTW I'm not eating them! Just picking and adding to my composter.

I've never seen purple mushrooms. They almost look like they're ceramic.
