I love the little lizards. My husband is horribly afraid of them. We make fun of him and hide plastic lizards in places he is least likely to expect them, like his pillow. Yep, I am THAT kind of wife. He is welcome.

Love the joke plastic lizards. We get lizards here, mainly NM Whiptail lizards, which are the official state reptile, and they are all female. They are fast little suckers and need to be to get away from the Roadrunners who love to eat them. When my flower garden is blooming I get a lot of them coming around to eat bugs and they love eating spiders, which is just fine with me.

The windows in my den are frosted glass louvers (Yes, they are from the 40's) and the screens are on the inside with the louvers opening to the outside.
During the spring and summer those little lizards climb up on the outside of the louvers trying to catch little bugs that are attracted to the light from inside the den.
The cats go crazy trying to get the lizards. I have explained to them over 100 times that the lizards are on the outside of the glass and they can't get them. They apparently do not believe me because my screens take a beating from their claws getting caught when they try and grab a lizard.
You would think that they would get it by now but their brains must sort out that info over the winter because last night it started again.

They are hoping that just once a magical opening will appear and they will be able to get those pesky lizards. They gotta keep trying, cause hey it could happen.

I'm jealous! I want some of those lizards! We have garter snakes here and they don't bother me at all, but DH nearly has a heart attack if he sees one.

Love the pictures. I never had my lavender bloom. But now it comes back each year so one of these years it will. We had a few more inches of snow today. Starting to feel like a recluse!
I always have my pansies out front by now but this year has been awful. So darn gloomy.

That is the first time that I have had lavender bloom too. I have a couple of more lavenders scattered around but that is the only one that has flowers. You may be right, Shirley. They will sit there and stare at them forever. And then the pounce at the screen. And then I start yelling. Its only just begun for the season.

Our lavender bloomed every year when we lived in Phoenix. And it attracted tons of bees! Smelled so good though!

Not yet, shirley, or I haven't noticed them yet.
Got some bees flying around and one got stuck upside down in the water dish.
None of the outside girls are admitting to having a hand in flipping him over. They hardly ever own up to any mischief anyway.
I am with you, val. I have to have lots and lots of flowers.

The Jasmine is competing in the fragrance dept. with the Mountain Laurel.
It smells really sweet in my backyard.

Beautiful, kritter! Since it's been snowing here all day and night, I stared at that pic for way too long. Also tried smelling the computer screen.

My flowers are coming up and some of the daffodils are blooming. Will have to try to post a pic when more bloom. I know I should weed them out or something so more of them bloom, but I am too lazy, and my back wouldn't be able to take the bending.

We finally had a nice enough day for me to plant my pansies out front. Now I won't have to change that until beginning of June. I will start working on the back yard and deck. Mike will get someone to powerwash. Have to start getting my beds in order.
Started feeding the fish this week. We lost a couple over the winter. We have some for about 17 years and you get attached to them.

I've always had only a sort of green thumb, so I get excited when something I planted grows! DH and I re-landscaped a part of our yard last year and planted tulips, crocuses, and daffodils. These are actually blooming!! Yay!!

Sorry, Roy, I missed your post. I live deep in the heart of Texas. Saw my first hibiscus of the summer open this afternoon. Will take some pics tomorrow of my flowers. Had to cut back the honeysuckle this afternoon as it is taking over the back bed by the clothes line.
