These posts about The Imposter have sounded really familiar, but I knew I hadn't seen it. But I did see a movie on Lifetime this summer called Lost Boy. That Lifetime movie had to be based on the documentary. I remember thinking the red flags were so obvious, why couldn't the mother see them. I'll have to watch the real story now. I'm sure it's much better.

Anyone watching any of the new fall shows? I'm watching a few: Minority Report, The Player, Quantico, Blindspot, Limitless and Scream Queens (my guilty pleasure of all of them). Minority Report was okay. I'm not a fan of the acting of Megan Good or Wilmer Valderyourmama (sorry, can't remember his last name, he was Fez on That 70's Show). Story line is okay, but the acting just seems forced. The Player I didn't even intend on watching, but it was pretty good. Interesting story line, I hope it sticks around. Quantico could be good, but I don't really like shows or movies that start off in 'real time' then do flashbacks. I think that's one of the reasons I had a hard time following How to Get Away with Murder. Both are good shows, but I can't do storytelling with flashbacks mixed with now. There was a show back in the day called John Doe. It was about a man who woke up and had no idea who he was, but he had knowledge of everything. It was a fantastic show, but got cancelled after the first season. Blindspot is a slightly altered version of this, but with fighting, tattoos and a attractive female (who they call Jane Doe). It was a good show and I hope it doesn't go the way of John Doe. Limitless was okay, I am hoping it gets better, but I can't see a lot of stuff in the future story line that might make it better. The movie was good, we'll see how the show turns out. Scream Queens was utterly over the top and horrible, just like it's supposed to be! I just know it's going to get cancelled, but I'll watch it until it does

Jeremy, thanks for the reviews. The only new show I've seen so far is Blindspot. It wasn't bad. I tried to find Scream Queens but I guess the first episode hasn't aired yet.
My guilty pleasure is The Strain on FX. This is unusual for me because I don't particularly like shows with vampires or zombies. It's so bad it's good.
I'm waiting for the start of the new seasons of some favorites: Grimm, The Leftovers (which means I'll have to subscribe to HBO again), American Horror Story. And, sadly, I have to wait til 2016 for some of my other favorites: Ripper Street, Penny Dreadful.

If you like Orange is the New Black, I highly suggest watching Wentworth. It's an Australian series about a woman's prison.

I started watching the Strain but (like I always do) didn't continue for some reason. It was a good show, maybe I'll put it on the list to start watching again. Scream Queens has aired and is on Hulu Plus and Xfinity (not sure if you have either). It was entertaining, in that bad, yet 'i gotta watch this' sort of way.

Interesting, that style is when I like tv, movies or books the best. The ones that are just linear don't hold my interest as well.
Guess that's why they do shows in so many different styles, so there is something for everyone.

I'm going to give Quantico a chance tho. I wanted to see it ever since they showed the commercials for it.

I really wanted to start Quantico, but I have a hard time staying up past 10 anymore. I can't believe I said that. I did get the first episode on DVR, but what usually happens when I don't watch something live is that I never watch it at all. One of the reasons I got rid of Netflix was because I never think to check that for something to watch on the nights when 'nothing's on'. I just turn off the TV.

I went to bed at 9:30 last night and one night last week I went to bed at 7:30! My kids were like "what? dad's in bed already?" I am just the opposite. I used to watch shows on the nights they were on but then I'd miss a week or two and figure I missed too much to catch up. Now I DVR them and watch them when I get a chance, which is usually once a week. I go on a show watching binge, which I can do this weekend since the kids will be gone. My DVR is at like 75% full so I gotta watch some soon or it won't record any more!

Elly and Jeremy, I don't use a DVR so I'm thankful for On Demand. And I usually go to bed early. I'm so spoiled that I hate watching when the shows are first aired because of the commercials.
I also watch a lot of programs on my computer with Amazon Prime, On Demand or through the PBS website. Right now I'm watching American Experience, a favorite series, about the Presidents. Currently it's FDR.

I didn't like Blindspot - too much thinking for me. I did however enjoy the first episode of Quantico. I like Grimm, How to Get Away with Murder and Blacklist.

Interesting Roy, cause HTGAWM requires a heck of a lot of thinking and remembering backstories. Which is why I like it. I usually watch each episode twice, once on tv and once online, and usually I end up catching something I missed the first time around.

I saw the movie "The Martian" last night, and really enjoyed it. I had read the book, and I didn't see how they could possibly make it into a movie! But they did a great job of compressing and simplifying all of the science and technology, and Matt Damon's character is perfect.

We LOVED Lost. The ending was crap tho.
I watched 2 episodes of Narco last night (Netflix original). It was OK. I think I will give the 3rd episode a shot and if I'm still not into it, I'll just give it up.
Did anyone watch Dr Ken Friday night? It was pretty funny.

I've watched it 3 times all the way through and I thought the 3rd time was as good as the first! It just doesn't get old. I watched Narcos a few weeks ago and really liked it! It gets better especially towards the end. But I liked from the beginning.

OK. So there's hope? I wasn't feeling so well so I was laying in my jammies on the couch and so much of it was subtitled. I think was just too tired to have to "read" a TV show.

I don't know why PBS is airing two different Masterpiece dramas on Sunday. Plus a third drama.
Last night was the first episode of Home Fires, about a small village at the start of WWII. Just my cup of tea. The second was the second episode of Indian Summers, about English in India in the 1930s. So far it's a bit confusing and a tad boring. I'll stick with it because I love Julie Walters. The third drama is called The Widower. It's about this psychopath who murders his wives. It makes me glad I never opened a joint bank account with my ex, lol.

I'm still binging on documentaries. This weekend I watched Dear Zachary and A Death in St. Augustine. Both were very disturbing and sad but I felt like I was hit by a truck with Dear Zachary, I did not see the horrifying tragic ending coming. It was awful.

I saw a wonderful film last night based on a true story, Woman In Gold. It was about a woman who fights to get back her family's paintings, notably the Gustav Klimt portrait of her aunt called Woman In Gold, which was taken by the Nazis in Austria in 1938. The Austrian art museum doesn't want to give it up so she sues the Austrian government.

Have so many shows on my DVR to catch up on. Blacklist-haven't watched one yet, but will. Like Quantico, HTGAWM is my fav, but so many twists. Watching Undateables now-very funny. Also Life in Pieces is VG. Dr Ken is pretty good.
Blood and Oil is the same old same old to me...nah to that one.
Like Scorpio, Scandal, Greys, Modern Family and LOVE the Voice.
Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert.
Will never catch up on recorded ones.

Okay-Undateables is absolutely my fav show! Filmed before a live audience and a good bit is unscripted, so the actors have such a hard time keeping straight faces. Loved Chris since he was in the show Whitney.

Thanks for the suggestion. I fell in love with the artwork and history of Klimt when I was in Amsterdam earlier this year. I'm looking forward to watching it.

Did everyone see The Walking Dead last night? SO freaking good! I didn't start watching it until last February on Netflix, so this was my first time to watch a season premiere live. It was so exciting!

I just finished binge watching all the seasons on Netflix and can't wait to see more.
How long does it take for new episodes to go up on Netflix, or is there anywhere else online to watch it?

This season that just started wont be on Netflix until late September/early October of next year. I think you will be able watch this seasons shows on amc.com. Last nights may already be on there. I hate the long waits on Netflix for a new season! I've been waiting forever it seems for the last season of Mad Men. I mean the show is completely done so I don't know what the hold up is!
