Has anyone seen The Imposture on Netflix? I watched last night and I'm still thinking about it today, it's centered on a young man in Spain who claims to a grieving Texas family that he is their 16-year-old son Nicholas Barclay who has been missing since 1994 but that isn't who he is. He got all the way to Texas and lives with this family for I don't know how long, even enrolled in high school despite being in his 20's, having dark hair/eyes (the missing kid was blonde/blue) and a French accent. The boy's family had to to have proof to be convinced that this was an imposture and not their son/brother/nephew. It was crazy.
As for Nicholas Barclay I'm thinking someone in his family murdered him. The Imposture had a long history of preying on the parents of missing children.

No I haven't seen it but it sounds interesting. Is it a documentary? I am patiently waiting for all my shows new seasons to be added to Netflix, so I am currently out of things to watch. I have literally watched everything on there that interests me! I'm pretty sure I have a Netflix addiction!

I am all caught up on The Good Wife. Totally addicting to me. Last week, season 4 of Longmire was released on Netflix, so we just started watching that. Longmire was originally on FX and we liked it when it was on the air. Which reminds me I need to check because Netflix was supposed to pick up The Bridge also. For those interested in Hulu--you can purchase a 13 month subscription gift card on eBay for under $30

I just finished watching the Outlander series I recorded when the season 1 marathon was on back in May. Unfortunately I fast forwarded through most of the final episode because it was the most violently graphic of any of the episodes. So, also unfortunately, it appeared I missed a lot of nice bare arse too. I am hooked on the story though. Can't wait for season 2. On the ports thing, you can get a converter for HDMI. I saw Jersey Boys on stage. A lot of people were softly (thank you ) singing along.

For those interested in Hulu--you can purchase a 13 month subscription gift card on eBay for under $30 Thanks for that info! I think I'm going to buy one and save it until spring. When my regular shows went on their hiatus last spring I had nothing to watch. I have watched a LOT of the Food Network this summer. I hope to never see Guy Fieri again. They have a great variety of programs during the day, but I don't watch during the day. Guy Fieri seems to own prime time on that network.

I like The Jersey Boys but after seeing the play 3 times (once in Vegas and twice here in town at Gammage) and the movie I've had my fill.

I much prefer afternoon Food Network to night Food Network. Guy and reality/competition shows. Never watch it.

Yep. It seems Food Network does that to popular cooks. Before it was Emeril, all day, all the time, with numerous shows. Now it's Guy, Bobby Flay and Giada. Multiple shows for each. Way back when, when I got cable, the Food Network was in its infancy and they had shows that actually taught cooking basics.
BTW, is anyone watching The Great British Baking Show? This is the 2nd season, it airs on PBS. There's none of that false drama you find on other cooking competitions. And the competitors bake all sorts of things, not just cupcakes.

Love love love the Great British Baking Show!!
It's a Sunday night must watch at my house.
The contestants are so real and I like seeing all the different baked goods they make.

I remember watching a lot of "How to Boil Water" back in the 90's.

I remember watching a lot of "How to Boil Water" back in the 90's. Yes, a perfect show for folks just learning to cook. Now the cooking shows assume the viewer already knows the basics.
Shirley, I saw the bread episode last night and I was drooling. My favorite bakers are Rob and Kimberly.

The judges on Great British Baking are great, they just have a different sensibility then the ones on American shows.
They are making trifles and floating islands on the next episode and I can't wait.

I'm weird, I don't even like tiramisu.
But Julia made a summer berry pudding on America's Test Kitchen recently and that made my mouth water.

I've got sooo many shows that I start and then stop watching and then try to start up again. Or, for whatever reason, I watch all the seasons, but then miss one or two whole seasons and have no idea what's going on...
Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars (don't judge me!), Daredevil, NCIS, Between, Murder in the First, the Killing, Sleepy Hollow, The Following...so many more that I've started and not finished.

I cannot allow myself to get addicted to another Bravo show. At one time I watched all of the Real Housewives - NY, Atlanta, NJ, Orange County and Beverly Hills. I finally broke the cycle. For some reason I just got tired of them all, all at once. I can't go back.

I am and I watched last season too (hangs head in shame). It's a very guilty pleasure. And Juliet is a crazed, silly social climber. Her voice irritates me. The other day I was getting dressed and listening to but not watching House Hunters. They were looking for a Chicago house. The woman sounded so much like Juliet I had to see if it was her. Must be a Chicago area accent.

There is no reason to be ashamed. Nothing goes better with a pint scoop of Ben & Jerry's than something on the Bravo channel! I follow a woman on youtube who started out posting cooking videos, moved on to filming her thrift store hauls, and now she just 'vlogs' about anything. In one of the most recent videos I watched she was getting ready to settle into her typical Sunday evening. Sitting down to watch the Real Housewives with her favorite beer and a favorite snack. It was really clear that all of it, the beer, the snack and the Bravo was a once weekly indulgence on Sunday nights after her daughter went to bed. It's probably her re-charge for the week ahead. I think Bravo is the 'me time' network. I became addicted to it when I started working at home because I didn't have to pay attention. But those Housewives hooked me. I've tried using the Food Network for background when I'm listing, but I find myself stopping too often to pay attention. Or getting hungry.

Thank you Elly. It's the only one of those type I watch and the only reason I tune into Bravo. I remember when Bravo aired movies and drama. Now it seems to be the reality television channel, very similar to E. I tune into E to watch Botched which I began watching during that long hospital stay.

Started watching Luther last night...what is with the episode counts? First season 6, second season 4? It's a great show, but come on. I've watched season 1 and didn't even break a sweat!

I can't stand Juliet either! She's not doing very well making friends!
I am not ashamed to admit I watch Housewives of New York, Beverly Hills and sometimes Orange County. Just wanted to find out if Brooks really has cancer.
One of my very favorites is Below Deck - Super Show

Brooks has cancer? hah, probably another of his scams.
I haven't watched that show in a long time and didn't know he was still on.

Watched it last night. I just wanted to punch that guy in the face everytime they showed him talking. I didn't finish it though, I fell asleep. I thought it was really good but that guy just made me so angry! Who could do that? I don't even know if I want to finish it-it was just too disturbing to me.

I felt the same way, he was so cocky and proud of what he did/had done. The end is actually the best part.

Yep, if you didn't watch "The Imposter" to the end, you may have missed a lot. There's an interesting twist to the story at one point. And the ending gives a lot more information about the guy.
