My friend just posted about the movie that she is in called Rustin....on Netflix. She had to wear an outfit from 1963 complete with a vintage bra (which of course was not visible).
She is only shown for a few seconds, but went through a lot of training for that tiny part. I don't have Netflix, though.

Val, I hesitate to sign up for trials since it seems impossible to cancel. I have been trying to cancel my home warranty, but the charges still continue.

Streaming services are easy to cancel. Some give you the option of just pausing your membership for a few months or outright canceling. I cancel netflix all the time, then start it back up when the new seasons of my shows are out. Same for Peacock/NBC. Sometimes you may have to google to find the instructions, but other than that it's pretty easy to cancel them.

There's a new NCIS on CBS - NCIS:Sydney. Unfortunately, IMO, it's not very good. Different writing crew from the other NCIS shows, from what I can find out. I watched the first two episodes but I won't be watching after this.
Edited: I watched episode 3 (there isn't much new stuff out right now to watch). The plot line was good, surprisingly. What annoys me are two of the female characters, Mackey and Cooper. If the show would replace those two, I think it might be a pretty decent show. They replaced actors on the other NCIS shows, so maybe they will on Sydney. The scenery is gorgeous (although not as gorgeous as NCIS Hawaii LOL).

I just watched the end of Yellowstone...on repeats. Too bad that it has been canceled, since I really liked it. When it first ran, I didn't have enough recording time to record that also. I am always late catching up on stuff.
Edited to add: My friend just informed me that what I saw the end of, was only the first session of 6! Wondering if they will keep airing all of the other shows.

The DH and I use Sling - he watches football and I watch boxing and MMA matches. It also allows for pausing membership if you like to watch sports.

The first half of the Barbie movie was funny, with great musical scenes. The second half? Not so great. And the ending was really stupid. Disappointing movie. I didn't expect much since it's a fluff topic, but still, one does expect fluffy entertainment

I've heard of the author/books, but I don't think I've ever read any of them. If I did, it was just one.

I've read all of the Reacher books, they are my all-time favorite. I read like 5 series of books and 4 of them became movies/tv shows; Jack Reacher, Harry Bosch, Alex Cross, Rizzoli and Isles. Only the Alex Delaware series hasn't been adapted. The ONLY thing I don't like about Alan Ritchson is for someone who is 6'3", he takes tiny steps LOL Also, he's 41, so it's pretty close. Jack Reacher is actually in his late 30's in the books.

I watched a movie last night that was based on a Mary Higgins Clark & Carol Higgins Clark Christmas mystery. The actors playing the characters looked nothing like their descriptions in the book, but the actors totally nailed the personalities. Every single one of them. I'm not sure I've ever had that happen before.

Hoarders is on again! I have my TV set to automatically record the shows when they are available, and was surprised to see it in my recorded shows.
It sure makes me feel like less of a slob, since now my family room has my grandson's toys everywhere for selling.

My bet is he does the weight lifting but doesn't spend any time on stretching, which is what would give him flexibility and a longer stride. Looks like the rights to the Alex Delaware books have been bought, but so far, nothing on when it will actually start filming or what studio will air it. deadline.com/2017/03/alex-delaware-novels-tv-series-adaptation-idw-entertainment-1202037987/Have you read any of the Stone Barrington books by Stuart Woods? He's a lightweight compared to the other 5 you like, but still pretty entertaining. I love his sidekick and former partner Dino.

I decided to watch Top Gun Maverick. I am NOT a TC fan, nor did I like the original Top Gun. Surprisingly, TGM is really good. Better than the first one IMO. The flight scenes are incredible. I may have to watch it again

Not really. The books were made into a TV show, so it's not big deal that you posted about the books here.

I just finished binge watching Third Watch on Peacock. It's a good show and the series finale was one of the best I've ever seen for a show. Up there with the series finale for MASH, IMO. Now I'm bouncing between Crossing Jordan and Doc in the binge watching

CBS new show "Tracker" is pretty good. It reminds me of Reacher on Prime, although the characters are totally different, as is what they do. But still, if you like Reacher I think you'll like Tracker.
For those who haven't watched Fire Country (CBS/Paramount+), Season 2 is off to a roaring start (no pun intended LOL). You really should binge watch season 1 first though or you'll miss a lot of the subplots.
Current season of The Equalizer is off to a good start as well. I love this show because it's the only show on any network that features not one, but FOUR strong, intelligent kick-azz females who are NOT beotchy, NOT neurotic, NOT masculine, NOT insecure and are entirely likeable. Do you know how rare that is on TV?

Monsieur Spade on Acorn is pretty good. Limited series, only 6 episodes. It's Sam Spade from the Maltese Falcon, now retired in the South of France and trying to stay out of trouble. You have to pay attention because about half the conversation is in French so there are subtitles. Episodes 1-5 are pretty good, but the final episode made no real sense, didn't really tie up the loose ends, and felt like it was rushed while written (like the writers suddenly realized, "oh crap, it's the final episode and we have to finish it all up" ). No word if there will be a season 2 or not.

I could view Only Murders on my regular TV. Cool show I don't know if I will be able to see additional shows or not, since I don't subscribe to any services.

I think you get most of the same stuff on the various plans on Hulu, except the cheap one has commericals and the more expensive one does not have commercials.
I liked watching Burn Notice, Boston Legal and All Rise, all on Hulu. Hulu is probably the one I watch the least though, other than both 9-1-1 shows now.
