Well, we aren't out of the weeds yet.
Both of them stay pretty much in one spot all day but do come and interact with me one at a time when I read to them at night. Sabrina was friendlier last might than she has been so far.
Last night both were out at the same time at one point and both were hissing at the other one. Makes me wonder how friendly these sisters were at their other house.

Sounds like you could find separate homes for them and they wouldn't mind at all.

Shirley, not only wouldn't they mind but from what I have seen, they would prefer separate homes. Two more bedrooms here but one is the ebay room and the other is my bedroom and I don't need all their hair flying around in either of those rooms.
I don't think either one is ready to take on the regular crew yet.

Well that is going to make it easier on you. Thank goodness. I don't think either one can stand up to your bunch for awhile. Like me you have some wild n crazy cats.

My cats are overly friendly to a newcomer because so many have passed through here.
There is the initial wariness that lasts about 5 minutes and then they move on to the "in your face and in your space" stage. They can be pretty overwhelming to a cat that hasn't grown up in a herd.

Having a herd of cats suddenly wanting to love on you, lick you, groom you and play with you can be a bit overwhelming.
Mine do the same thing. The foster kittens usually love it, the Momkats frequently get overwhelmed and want to go back into their room and shut the door.
I think your 2 Rags would do well in single cat households that have a nice older CCL to love on them and shower them with attention.

That is exactly what they need.
Now I just need to find those households before they get too attached here.

Just got a call that Savannah's and Sabrina's dad passed away last night.
Guess when he found his "girls" a place, he was ready to go.

I'm glad you took them in, Kritter. You did their dad a big favor.

Now I just hope somebody is up for doing me a favor and adopts these girls.
I need to get their pics out to a couple of rescues and mention a donation while I am at it.

Very quick.
He went into Hospice on Thursday, one week after I picked up the cats, and then died on Friday.

That's sad. I'm glad you could give him the peace he needed of knowing his babies would be well cared for.

This is how Savannah hangs out most of the time-just airing things out.

Savannah appears to be an exhibitionist.
And fluffy as all get out. I like her.

Why can't cats be more like dogs and like their bellies rubbed.

I am going to throw out a couple of feelers today in hopes of getting them placed. If I don't hear anything, they are going to get groomed. Way too much hair flying around everywhere and they do not appreciate being brushed. They are going to get a "little off the top".

Why can't cats be more like dogs and like their bellies rubbed. My cats love belly rubs. Lucy will walk in front of me and flop down belly up just hoping I will get the hint before I trip over her.

That's probably an owner privilege, I wouldn't have a hand left if tried.

Lila (my scaredy cat) likes belly rubs, but only if she's in one of her "safe" spots - on the chair under the dining table, the shelf next to the dining room window, or one (but only one) of the cat beds upstairs. If we try to pet her when she's anyplace else, she runs away.

Why can't cats be more like dogs and like their bellies rubbed. Some cats like it some don't. Problem is even the ones who don't like it will show their bellies, and then attack you when you're lured in.

The rescue that I have worked with is going to put their pics on their FB page. I sent her these pics of Savannah this morning.

Savannah is now on FB so hopefully that will give her a boost.
Need to get her groomed this week too.
