I'm sorry she did that, because it looked like Kringle and Mosaic were a good match.

They were a good match. I have a feeling that whatever was wrong with Mosaic's eye that started this train wreck ended up being something other than what they thought was Kringle's fault. No doubt I would have heard from that mother if Kringle was the cause of that drama.

Yesterday I got a call from the person who takes care of the cat adoption area at the local Petco. She said an employee at the Target next door had come into the Petco with a 10 week old kitten that a man had given her in the parking lot. The employee was on her way into the Target for her shift and didn't know what to do with the kitten. The manager at the Petco wouldn't let them keep the kitten in a crate there. She asked if I could foster it because, of course, she has other cats at home (like I don't) so she couldn't take it to her house. Greta is a sweet as can be tortie that was definitely loved so what happened that caused her to be given away to a stranger in a strip center parking lot? She does have signs of an early URI or maybe a virus like Kringle has. Right now she is in the bedroom with my blind feral just in case it is a URI as no sense having this whole lot come down with the sniffles. Pics coming soon. Plan is to take her to the spay/neuter clinic on Wednesday and go from there. This is the first year we have had so many young kittens at this time of the year. Usually the young kitten supply dries up in October but not this year. We have our Simon Says Spay & Neuter Your Cats event in partnership with the Humane Society scheduled for February, March, and April so far but maybe we need to step up our game and add one in January plus double up in the other months. I have been reaching out to people looking for financial supporters for these spay/neuter events plus we are having a yard sale in the Spring to raise money.

Is is possible she got out by accident and wandered into the parking lot? Who knows but I would put that at the low end of the possibilities. I have been in this game a long time and a lot of liars turn in animals with heartwrenching stories to play on heartstrings. We will never really know the truth because "There are eight million stories in the naked city. This has been one of them."
