Kringle is at the clinic today getting neutered, his vacs and microchip. He is up for adoption now. A lady in NJ wants to adopt him but I told her that she can come here and get him because no way I am going to cold country. It is cold enough here to discourage any trips north.
Diego and Dickins are going to the clinic this afternoon to get their rabies shots and then will go up for adoption through a local rescue that adopts out from a Petsmart store.
Mia and Chance are going to audition for admittance to the adoption program at the Humane Society next Tuesday.
I think that covers all the fosters and I will be back to my resident cats.

Just got back from the clinic with the 3 kittens. All vacs and microchips done and updated paperwork.
Kringle is adopted and goes to his new home on Friday.

Delivered Kringle to his new home today. He will have a 3 year old cat for a buddy.
Dickins and Diego go to Petsmart tomorrow. Chance goes to a Pet Supplies Plus for an adoption event tomorrow afternoon. I have isolated one of the bathrooms and the hall as a place for him as it is going to be in the 40s tomorrow and Sunday. I feel bad for him out there in the cat pen.
I will be glad when all these fosters get situated and it is just the regular gang here.

Mia was accepted into the adoption program at the Humane Society today.
All fosters gone except for Chance who is a boderline psycho cat that I wouldn't push off on an adoption program.
While I was at the HS, a guy came in with a 3 week old kittten that he said he found wedged in a fence. Kinda skeptical about that story but whatever. The HS took the kitten.

Mia has a broken tooth so they are going to do a dental on her to remove it. I like that they totally check their intake animals to make sure that anything that needs to be done, gets done.

She did tell me his name but, of course, I forgot. I do remember that she said he walked up to her as a kitten about 3 years ago.

Yay Mia! I hope she finds her furever home soon. She's a sweetheart. Mia broke all speed records for being adopted. She stayed in the hospital at the Humane Society over the Thanksgiving weekend because she needed to have a tooth extracted. I was watching the HS adoption page on Monday morning and saw Mia posted for adoption around 11:30. Decided to throw myself together and go over to visit her in the Cattery. About 1 1/2 hours later, I was almost out the door and decided to check the website again and Mia was off the page. WHAT!!!! Nobody gets adopted on a Monday mid day after a busy adoption holiday weekend. But Mia did. Its like her home was just waiting for her to be available. It was so fast that I am wondering if it was somebody working at the HS or someone an employee knew and were told what a sweet cat Mia is. Whoever it was, they got an amazing new member of their family. Happy life, Mia! I am so happy for you.

She definitely is a sweetie. Hopefully this is the end of her journey for the best cat life ever. The end of the Mia and her kittens saga.

Well, it's not SO surprising - she was, after all, a graduate of the Sparkle and Shine Academy! 😺

Well, it's not SO surprising - she was, after all, a graduate of the Sparkle and Shine Academy! 😺 Definitely a sparkling and shining star graduate. I don't think I have ever seen an adult cat get adopted that fast. Potential adopters have to interact for at least 20 observed minutes with a cat before they are allowed to fill out an application. She probably didn't even get settled in the cattery before her adoption process began. I am glad that I checked the adoption website before going across town to visit her. I first thought maybe she had been returned to the hospital section for something so I had my contact person there double check. Sure 'nuff, my girl was adopted.

What's the big cat's name? He/She is gorgeous. Kringle's sister is named Mosaic.

Kringle is back in foster. They said he has a cold that they can't get cured. Apparently Mosaic now has an eye iissue that they think he caught from Kringle.
Will call the vet that him to and see what the vet thought was causing the sniffles/sneezing.

The whole episode yesterday was really weird. Kringle is running around here like his pants are on fire. No sign of him being sick.
IMO way too much drama yesterday concerning his return. I have been in contact with Nicole since the beginning and she never mentioned any concern about Kringle being sick. Her mother was totally in charge yesterday and not a word from Nicole.
She said she took him to my vet's office although she saw another vet there. I am going to call them after they get past the busy Monday morning and see what happened there.

Kringle and Chance are running a route from my kitchen thru the den thru the living room and then back to the kitchen again.
I found out that they took Kringle to the vet for a URI and got a Convenia shot and Predisone for congestion. Will email my vet and see if she wants me to bring him in but I don't know what she can do for what seems like an allergy more than a URI.

Hootie used to get antihistamines with his food in the fall/winter in ABQ, when the juniper/cedar pollen was really high. My dog way back when had allergies too.
Hope you can figure it out with Kringle so he can get a good furever home.

I just emailed Dr. C and told her what was going on with Kringle. Asked if I should make an appointment or do a dropoff. Don't want to put him back up for adoption until I hear what she thinks. I think the adopter's mother definitely overreacted with the return because we would have worked with her to find out what the issue is if there is an issue.
