LOL Hootie did something similar after his dental surgery. His judgement was off for about 2 days. I'd pick him up and put him on whatever he was trying to get on, he was misjudging so badly. (((trixie)))

I hear her crying from the foster bedroom. She wants to come out with the Missy family.
She can't find Daisy who is on the top of a cat tree so she has telling Lucy all about her day.

She wants to tell them all about Trixie's Great Adventure.
I'm glad she is back to her normal lovey self.

She really only interacts with Daisy and Lucy here. The rest of them have definitely given her boundaries that she respects.
What is funny is that I noticed she has a different meow now. Before yesterday it was a scratchy kitten sound and now she meows like a regular cat. Doesn't have anything to do directly with the spay. I like her new voice a lot better.

She probably got a lot of practice yesterday and when they ignored her she had to pull out her big girl voice.

She was back to normal yesterday morning. It is amazing how fast they recover from this surgery.
They sent her home with a come around her neck so wasn't sure if she had been bothering her incision or they were concerned because she woke up so crazy. I took it off right away because it was too heavy but watched her closely yesterday just in case.
She doesn't seem to be licking the incision so the come stayed off.

Plus she was in her carrier with it on so she couldn't really move around which might have been a good thing if she was as frantic as they said when waking up.
But, it's all over now. I told her that was probably the worst thing that would happen to her so it's all good.

OK, so today is Revolution day here and the scramble begins. Got some of the trickier ones done first but still have a few to go tonight after they think the danger is over. Trixie got hers this afternoon and then I went to the grocery store and library. When I got back, the first thing I see is Daisy grooming Trixie right smack dab on the back of her neck where the Revolution was placed. The back of Trixie's neck is awash in Daisy spit. So now, I don't know whether to dose Trixie again or assume it had been long enough for the Revolution to sink it.

A kitten that young can get treated with that stuff? If it were me,I wouldn't treat her again - play it safe. HOpefully Daisy won't have any effects from it.

It's got to taste pretty nasty. Daisy probably just washed around it and didn't lick it up. I wouldn't give Trixie anymore, if worse comes to worse you can always give her a flea bath.

They can be treated over 6 weeks of age. All are doing fine.

Oh gaaaaawd, tomorrow is the start of Advantage Wrestling. I do one cat per night during Cat Dinner. I start with Bubby and I poisoned her last time so I'm not looking forward to it AT ALL.

I have finally got a system with dosing mine. I start off with the ones that dislike it the most because once I start, they will head for the hills.
Dori always gets hers first, then Gracie, then Tanji, and then the rest one by one.
I would need a tranquilizer dart to get Augie so he has never been treated for anything and does not seem the worse for it.

We don't hear much about Augie... What's the story and, more importantly, is there a photo?

I don't treat Hootie. He only goes on the patio, the few fleas he picked up in 10 years were quickly dispatched with a bath and/or carpet treatment with borax (prior tenant infested the place)

We don't hear much about Augie... What's the story and, more importantly, is there a photo? Augie is my in-house feral and pretty much keeps to himself. He and Yogi are friends but otherwise, Augie is a loner. He has been here around 10 years and I have never touched him. If our eyes meet, he runs. He and his 2 sisters were TNRed from a hoarder in the area when they were around 4 months old. I was able to tame the 2 girls and they were adopted through a local shelter. Augie just never came around. He arrived around the same time as the original Missy family and I am sure that he is totally amazed that they all have not been killed by the knives that he knows I am hiding to whack their heads off on a moment's notice.

It is sad that he is so terrified. I have never hit any of them or abused them in any way.
Now, I might yell every once in awhile but the fury is over pretty quickly.
He wasn't abused at the hoarder's house and she wanted them back but I talked her down from that plan.

Some cats are just that way, they just can't process that they can trust humans.
He has a home and is safe, warm and fed. And he has Yogi for a friend.
There are so many cats that aren't half that lucky.

Our mommiecat remained feral even though she lived in the house. She'd take turkey from my hand, rub up against the legs of Mr. Ex when he was at the kitchen sink but wouldn't allow either of us to pet her.

At least Augie has a good life and a safe place to live.
Have you ever given him catnip? I did that with one of my ferals when he was a hissy nasty thing. He must have gotten pretty high off the stuff because he did a 180 and started rubbing and loving all over me. I stayed with him because I was afraid he'd go try and love on a coyote. He walked in our house and never left. He's my biggest lover.
