No, fashion, I haven't tried that game yet. I would really need to find a way to take a video of that round of fun.
Petti, Dandie was doing much better. She was eating good and had started walking around and using her cat box. It is like she was a stroke victim and has to learn living skills all over again.
To get the latest news, I just went to the FB page and saw this update from the foster....
"It was quite noticeable this morning during exercise time that there was a change. Simba AKA Dandie had a temp and was having a harder time walking. So she got a new med and hydration has doubled. When I left to work temp was normal. Tonight she has a temp again. She is eating boiled chicken on top of her wet food and ate really good. She still will not drink water on her own. So she gets filling up by mouth and sub-q. She did want to walk tonight and did great. So I'm working on trying to get her temp down."
Dandie is not out of the woods yet.

What pisses me off is they weren't honest about whatever really happened - maybe if they had been, Dandie could have received more specific treatment. Azzhats.

That just makes me want to hunt them down and feed them the same crap that poor Dandie got.

And now the word is that the same idiots want Dandie back when she gets well again. I am staying out of this war because nobody would like what I have to say about that.
Jackson made a jail break over night with Daisy's help from the outside. He was running wild this morning when I got up. I know Daisy was the partner in crime because after I got him back in his condo, I saw Daisy trying to open up the area that connects the two units.
Jackson is past ready to go.

Um, I think you need to jump in that war with both feet, Kritter. Those idiots don't deserve the cat back. They need to be treated like idiots, shamed, and told NO WAY IN HELL ARE YOU EVER GETTING ANOTHER CAT FROM US.
I understand people surrending their pets. I've had to do it myself years back. But what they did - allowing the cat to get poisoned for whatever reason, then dumping her off at PETCO when she clearly needed medical help - is unforgiveable.
And LOL on Jackson & Daisy. That's funny.

that's hysterical. I bet it's the challenge of getting in and seeing what is in there more then letting him out.

Daisy is so pretty... they're all adorable. I love the way Jackson is looking at them... so innocent and helpless. There's clearly never a dull moment at your house Kritter

They dumped her at a shop??? I missed that bit. Now I hate them even more. There should be a blacklist and they should be on it. If they want the cat back they should be presented with a whopping bill for her care. They'll run a mile. I agree with Val, Kritter. You cannot and must not let there be even the slimmest chance that they get Dandie back.

It wasn't a Petco but a Petsmart and that is where the rescue has one of her adoptions areas. The rescue adoption counselor at the Petsmart knew that the adopters were bringing Dandie back because they couldn't afford the treatment for her.
I was with the head of the rescue picking up the two bad eyes kittens when she got the call from her adoption counselor. She left and went to the Petsmart to meet the adopters when they got there. Dandie is in foster with the adoption counselor from that Petsmart.
Here is the update for today.....
"This morning it looks like she is holding her own. She is on antibiotics now (and still her seizure med) and it seems after the last 24hrs her temp is doing better. She is weaker but she is still eating. She is taking all the sticking and poking that I have to do to her and she will still want to sleep in my lap. I know that the signs I see are showing me the meds are helping and I just have to be very patient and wait for them to work."

Jackson has escaped from his condo three times tonight after he was "put to bed". I have practically sown the damn things together and he still gets out.
One more time and he is relocating to the bathroom for the night. Daisy tends to play rough and I am afraid that she will hurt him if I am not around to break their roughhousing up.

Daisy definitely thinks she has it going on and rules don't apply to her.
She was like in the ninth stage of 10 stages of death when I got her and I did spoil her when she was a kitten just because I was so glad that she lived.
I am paying for that now.

Kritter, you have a heart the size of Texas. I wish you and I were neighbors so I could help you with your fosters.
I've been seriously thinking about adopting an adult cat now that my leg has healed. I can't deal with kittens because they get under my feet and I might step on them. But the no kill shelter here has a lot of adults in need of a home. I've been checking their website and reading the kitty bios. phillypaws.org/

titus, I wish we were neighbors too but you will have to move here because it is way too cold for me where you live.
Definitely get an older cat. They are wonderful. Sabrina would be purrfect for you if she didn't live so far away.
I looked on that adoption website and saw several older cats that want to be an only pet. That would be good for your situation.

I have three cats that I got as kittens and they all respond to, "Excuse me." Or "Move!" if I'm cranky. The only one I got as an adult, however, is determined to trip me over and kill me. I swear she watches my feet and deliberately gets in front of them. And after ten years with me I think she's getting worse, lol.

Just got an email from the rescue. Kitten exchange is off again today because of the rain. Looks like we are trying for tomorrow or Wednesday.
I was cleaning Jackson's condo while he was out scampering around with Lucy. Finished cleaning and left one side partially zipped open. Jackson jumped on top of the condo to play and slipped right inside through the unzipped part. Now it is zipped with him inside.
Love it when a plan comes together.

Let's take bets on how long it takes him to get out again. I give it 30 min max.

OK, Jackson is packing his bags for his departure to the next adventure in his life. We meet up with the rescue tomorrow morning at 11:00 for the exchange.
Jackson goes with her and I get two little ones in return.

No, she will get him neutered and up to date on his kitten boosters and then he will go up for adoption at one of her Petsmart locations.
I think she will probably feature him on her FB to see if somebody is interested like she did with Savannah before he goes to Petsmart.

You, of course, are required to post pics of the new kittens tomorrow. You realize that, right? Meanwhile, how's Dandie?
