Yes, Shirley, I think the big cats are ready for Jackson to move on to his furever home. I am ready for him to go too. When they get to this stage, it is time for them to move on down the road of their life.
Bliss, my cats were all fosters kittens here at one time except for Gracie. They have all grown up with other fosters being here so they are used to kittens. Some of them like Lucy and Daisy like the kittens but the others pretty much stay out of their way.
LOLOL Tabby, I knew that you would like that pic when I posted it.
Misspetti, I have another foster now with an eye issue. A tiny little one that only weighs 14 ounces. Working on getting some pics.
I usually specialize with fostering kittens/cats with medical issues because fosters for that group are harder to find.
Fashion, I have never taken a video before but will try to get one of Jackson for you.

How is the new little girl doing?
Is she still eating on her own or do you have to bottle feed her anymore?
My 2 kittens and the Momcat are going next week for their fixes and adoption. They are having an adoption fair on the 30th so hopefully the kittens will find homes then. Momcat is already spoken for thank goodness.

She is totally refusing the bottle now and, of course, I am worrying that she is not eating enough on her own. I am counting the days until she will crunch on dry food as another alternative food source. She is not a big eater of canned food.
I gave her a Dawn bath today because she did have fleas.
I asked the rescue for another kitten from her litter or another one about her size. she needs a friend at this age.
I am so glad that your Momkat is spoken for.

I'm so glad we rarely have a flea issue here. That can turn into a nightmare so darn fast.
The same gal from the foster group who took my last black Momcat is taking this one. She has 2 black cats and I told her that you can't have an even number of black cats or it's bad luck. So she is taking her, but then she is just an old softie like me, and this Momcat is a real sweetie.

Fleas are bad already this year with all the rain. I hate it when this happens.
I still haven't found a place for Sabrina but I haven't been looking either. She is going to need such a special home and I just haven't had the time to devote to finding it.

I can't believe you are still getting so much rain.
This has been one very weird Spring.

Does Sabrina not like being around any other cats at all?
And how's Dandie doing?

kritter, it's lovely of you to take in the needier ones. I can imagine people shying away from the responsibility. I can't wait to see the new little poppet. Weren't there two with eye problems? I don't know how you can give them up when you've mothered them like that.

Jackson has a condo. One room for playing and sleeping and one room for bathroom and dining room.

Oh I love that.
What brand is it Kritter and where did you get it?
It would be great when I have foster kittens to keep them corralled but get used to other cats around.

I can't believe we are getting so much rain either. Its either drought or mold here. We can't seem to hit a middle ground.
Val, I have pretty much kept the Missy family out of Sabrina's area since the initial introductions and she glued herself into the house on the cat tree. She has become a lot more outgoing in general and always engages with me when I am in that part of the house. I think part of the issue is with the number of cats that are here but then again, she wasn't that friendly with Savannah for whatever reason. There is no fighting; she just keeps to herself.
Petti, yes, there were two with eye problems but the one that was the smallest sadly didn't make it. I have contacted the rescue to see if any of the other 4 siblings are having issues but she hasn't heard back from that foster.
I gave her some fluids this morning so I hope that will help perk her up.

Definitely get one for kittens, Shirley. I wish that I had known about them years ago.

I had thought about getting a mesh playpen and turning it upside down, but that is soooo much better. Now I can put kittens out in the house earlier which will help them get used to other cats, and no worries about the dang things going under places where I can't get at them. Plus when Bitty gets in one of her crazie moods she could go in there too.

Comments from the rescue lady...
"But tell everyone to get the ones that have zippered bottoms or bottoms that don't come out. The velcro bottoms suck. And the bigger (57") sound really nice but when kittens crawl on them they topple over very easily. I only get the smaller ones (33", 45", and the size you've got). I like the small ones like you have because it doesn't take up much room when I've got a sick one that I have to tend to but when it gets better and needs a playmate I can use clamps and attach the 2 together at the doors"

Great advice, thanks. My cats are proud of their ability to open anything with velcro on it.

Jackson is so less than thrilled that he is beside himself with sadness.
He wants to be running loose like the big cats but he follows me around and I am afraid I am going to step on him.

Poor little guy thinks he's in jail. Poor little guy has managed two jail breaks this evening, I think I finally have all the escape holes closed. I wouldn't be surprised if he was loose tomorrow morning when I get up.

Whoever gets to adopt that little debil is going to be one very lucky CCL or CCM.
He has spunk enough for a whole herd of cats.

Yes, Jackson is going to bring a ton of joy into somebody's life. This rescue encourages kitten adopters to take two so each kitten will have a friend to grow up with. Jackson's "friend" is in for a rough ride.

He needs another cat his age. Someone who he can romp with, get worn out with and cuddle with. He is certainly one of the lucky ones. With his rocky start it could easily have gone the other way. From one CCL to another you totally rock Kritter, bless you for giving him such a wonderful start in life.

Jackson was fortunate from the getgo. From the vet at the city kill shelter using their time and resources to give him a chance and then the rescue pulling him, he was one of the lucky ones. The shelter could have just as easily euthanized him as "not viable" and we would never have met this great kitten.
Jackson is on a pass this morning so he can get some exercise and work off some of his energy. All the big cats are on elevated flat surfaces out of his reach.

Have you tried the ping pong ball in the bathtub trick with him?
