So... day 2 and no reply from Trust Team. I emailed them again. This is getting ridiculous. I sent them another e-mail and will call over the weekend and if nothing by Monday, I am writing to Ina. If it turns out my account is banned permanently, I am writing o BBB. Oh, did I mention I had around $200 there that they now hold hostage? So the blocked my account, took my money and didn't even bother sending me a message. Assholes.

After this, even if/when they do reinstate your account, I would seriously consider if it's worth continuing there. So sorry this happened and it's very very shitty that they can't even email you, especially when you have money that you earned at risk.

If they were holding $200 of my money hostage without an explanation, I would slam my account shut as soon as I got my money released.

Suspending your account is one thing, holding your money can't be legal can it?

Ooooo you're in luck! Tradesy corporate office is in CA. If you don't get an answer soon, when you file with the BBB, also file a complaint at the CA Attorney General's office. They take this stuff seriously and WILL contact Tradesy with the complaint. 1420 2nd Street Santa Monica, CA 90401 Their feedback isn't so hot.... tradesy.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html

Tradesy is absolutely horrible. Just like its founder. A bitter spineless woman who took out a lot of eBay sellers - when she used to sell on eBay - to eliminate her competition.
Now she's backed with a ton of money and creates Tradesy. And truth be told Tradesy is a great platform to get rid off merchandise that you are stuck with since on eBay there's so much junk making it frustrating to look for products. Buyers now trust Tradesy and its authenticity guarantee policy which means that the buyer has to complain about the product since the seller ships the product straight to the customer without Tradesy authenticating the product first. And when the incompetent authentication service they use which is absolutely clueless - called Authenticate First (https://thedirty.com/gossip/montreal/authenticate-first-fraud-company/) - says that the product is not authentic then you ARE screwed.
Tradesy will shut your account without notice and hold your funds. The customer service which is run by a bunch of morons will not respond and the phone lines are always busy.
Long story short. If you're a buyer Tradesy works. If you're a seller, ask yourself this: is the frustration dealing with incompetent people worth it? And do you want to be making Tracy DiNunzio richer? And do you trust a site that can shut you down at any time for any reason without notice and without access to your funds?

Makin, did you by chance attempt to contact a buyer outside the Tradesy message system? I see a BBB complaint where a seller did this and was shut down with no notice like you were.
Complaint Tradesy suspended my account and prohibited me to withdraw my money in the account. Tradesy suspended my account because I was trying to send the buyer the receipt through personal email. I have balance in my Tradesy account and now I can't withdraw it.
Desired Settlement Transfer the balance in my Tradesy account into my bank.
Business Response Hi, we show that your account was suspended after multiple concerted efforts to bypass our message filters and transact off site. Once you contacted our member care team and confirmed that you understood and would adhere to our site policies going forward your account was restored. Your payment was processed shortly after.

The BBB page on Tradesy Inc was very interesting. Both buyers and sellers are complaining. Some of the Tradesy replies are fine, others are borderline flip and rude.

I can't believe they can get away with this. I'd love to know the id of the Ebay seller who started it?

I can't believe they can get away with this. I'd love to know the id of the Ebay seller who started it? I'd love to know her ebay ID also. It seems that she was very active on the ebay boards. Here is another report/complaint about her that was posted on the complaint site that Val linked to above.
I remember Tracy Dinunzio from ebay. I remember watching her post to the old message boards. What a nasty piece of work she was. She used to trash talk the owners of other ebay stores and some of the things she wrote were just filthy. She didn't limit her nastiness to only ebay message boards, she literally went around posting across many different sizes across the internet terrorizing and ruining the reputations of the more successful home based sellers many of which had no idea it was even happening or why. There were no internet libel, stalking or harassment laws established yet. It was like the wild west. It really stinks to know that these are the qualities many people find admirable. To kill the competition to get ahead of the game through hard work and persistence is one thing but to lie, steal, cheat, slander and commit criminal acts is something else. She is one of the most dishonest, nasty, ruthless people known to the clothing industry. She is a criminal and should be in jail.
Tracy Dinunzio of Tradesy, after you have finalized yourdeal with pro-active, I consider you open game for revenge lawsuits.
Consider me first in line.

AND THE MYSTERY HAS BEEN SOLVED. Here is a letter I got: Hi Irina, Thank you for writing in! For security purposes we have closed accounts associated with the email domain @yandex due to suspicious activity. We can restore your account if you can give me another email address I can switch to on your account. Please let me know. Thank you, Nikki W. Tradesy Trust Team To fill you in: yandex.ru is a Russian equivalent of google.com - the hugest and the best search engine in Russia. Hard for me to imagine, what kind of suspicious activity it or my e-mail could possibly have been involved in. Anyway. I sent him an alternative address I have on Google to satisfy their strict security guidelines

Wow I would never have guessed. I'm so glad it worked for you! I still think they should have sent you an email immediately.
And now after reading about the creepy lady who started it I'm not sure how much I want to sell there.

So they make you wait THREE F*&$%# DAYS to tell you this? When a simple message within their own damn system would have taken care of this in minutes?
I'm sorry, I'd be sending a scathing letter to the BBL and to Ina. If Tracy wants to play with the big boys, she needs to up her game and that means treating customers like customers. And handling things in a professional manner.
This was so unprofessional it's not even funny.

You can say "filthy" things about someone without cussing. And it would have been posted for a bit before mods saw it. Liveworld wasn't as quick as Lithum on taking down posts. Plus she could have been badmouthing sellers on other forums and groups.

Yeah, what I consider filthy talk and someone else's idea of it are two WAY different things. Glad you got it cleared up Makin but I agree with Val- shouldn't have taken 3 days for something like this. I think I'll pass on Tradesy for now.

I'm glad your account was restored, but agree it shouldn't have taken this long. CS is a perpetual problem with a lot of online entities -- it's so easy for them to respond when and if they feel like it.

Oh no, it hasn't been restored just yet. I sent them a new e-mail address, but since they probably address messages as they come, it might take another day or two As of now it is still locked.

At least you know it WILL be restored. As far as customer service, sounds like someone took a lesson from the Donahoe playbook.

I think donohoe was better than this. At least sellers got prompt emails when their accounts were suspended. Email might not make total sense, but they got one. And how hard is it to send one anyway? Tradesy wants professional sellers on their site but they aren't willing to treat those sellers professionally?
Sorry. I'll find somewhere else to expand to, thank you.

I wish I could get some sales there again. It was good now it's bleak.

Makin - I'm glad you got your account restored. Sadly, I would also grit my teeth, change the email and keep going on there.
They're over-reacting to spam/mirroring problems from .ru extensions - it's a case of the few making things difficult for the many. You'd think they'd do a brief verification of your email and realise it is legit. Most things with the .ru extension are.
