Just got mine ordered, figured I better do it now before I forget again and lose them. Going to try the 8.5x10.75 size bubble envelopes. Would have bought the polyjacket non bubble ones but they didn't show up, only bubble envelopes and boxes. Now I see them. Seriously Ebay grr

I just got the 9 x 11.5 poly envelopes. They came lightning fast. Scheduled to arrive friday but I got them tuesday.
The only thing I don't like is that they have the double row of tape to seal them like the bigger envelopes. I'm not sure which I'm supposed to use & it seems like it would be easy for them to catch on something & tear open at the perforation - I accidentally did it myself while packaging.

I just ordered for the first time & got mine super quick too. I like the double row closure, I think it would make them much easier to open, as a buyer.

kid-the double row of adhesive is for the buyers. I always put a bit of scotch tape on the end flap to make sure it stays closed.

I tear off that extra row - I don't want to give my buyers any ideas about returning anything...

I agree with All, why give the buyers any ideas.
I tear off the extra row or seal both rows.

Yup................ use both rows to seal. Let them find something new to send it back in if they are inclined.

I think I'm going to seal both rows. It just seems like it would easily tear along the perforation if it got caught on something during transit.

I guess I should run the Scotch tape vertically. Never thought of that. Stuff happens.

Hmmm, I haven't taped or cut off anything, we'll see if there's any issues. I don't accept returns & I'm not really inclined to take the extra time to do either one. But then, I'm one who's never taped on my old packaging either & never bother to cut off the extraneous Ebay stuff that prints on the labels. I figure all that time adds up.

I tear off that extra row - I don't want to give my buyers any ideas about returning anything... I do this too. I don't want to encourge returns! It is a neat feature for returns sellers though.

I guess I'm in the minority. I'm all for reusing a perfectly good bubble envelope. I would love to receive something in one of them and be able to re use it with the extra row of tape.

Do the bubble ones have double rows of adhesive too?
I was talking about the poly ones, and those really aren't in great shape by the time they get to me, certainly not good enough to use again. Our sorting center beats up packages, thats another reason I double seal mine when I ship them out.

Re-using................... of course. BUT, having your buyer reuse it to send the item back to you is not the ideal scenario.

Oh, I can understand not re-using the poly ones. Thought it was the bubble envelopes everyone was referring to.
I'm no returns but every once in awhile I get a return request. Depending on the circumstances I will either take it or decline. I haven't had any more requests using the double tape but will see if it changes over time.

I have been using those polys since they first were available but none of my returns were in that envelope.
And since the statement encourages the recipient to sell on eBay, I doubt that they even think about returns.

I have only ordered the padded mailers. I love them. I use the outer strip to secure and then I push about an inch on either side of the inner strip to expose the adhesive and press down. That way there's a smaller gap and hopefully the buyer can re-use it for something - or not. I have no idea how it arrives or if they can even pull apart those edges. I have received a few purchases in the non padded poly bags and like Shirley mentioned, they are beat up. One package had a hole in the side even though the contents were soft and the rest of the plastic seam was secure. Must have had a weak spot.

Can we pin this thread to the top (or just a shortened how-to message)?
O to the M to the G....i would have *never* refound this quarters coupon if it hadnt been for this thread popping up on the first page. i do not know why ebay needs to over complicate things.

I've been sealing both rows too and will continue to do so but all of those silver strips are a pain to discard and fill up the garbage can in my office really quickly. This time around I ordered some 12x15 non padded mailers with the holiday print, the padded ones and matching tissue paper on other id. Looking forward to their arrival today.

Is anyone else having trouble ordering supplies? I go in, put in the discount code, it takes it off the total and then I click on Paypal, sign in and all it does is spin. It says "Processing" but never goes through. I have been trying for 3 days. This AM I even tried going into my Paypal account, clicked on Shopping, typing in the eBay store name, it takes me into the supplies, and the same thing. I get to the Paypal part and it never gets past "Processing?"

Yes Cindy, I can't complete the order either. I gave up this morning and I'll go back tomorrow and try again. It's not worth the aggravation.

They didn't have the bubble mailers in when I ordered - I'll have to try again next quarter. I'm really glad for those 36" aggregate boxes, particularly the flat ones. I got a 5 lb vintage faux leopard swing coat into one - I had to cram it a bit, but it was amazing how well it went in. I had some stickers made to deal with the ridiculous "sell on eBay" branding - I mean, really, I get the recycling, I think it's great but we do NOT need yet more sellers on eBay. My stickers say "Buy What You Love! - eBay has it" then my store name and beneath it the URL. This box went to Etsy so I covered up the eBay with priority stickers - it only needs a couple for each box. Bag:

Thanks for letting me know you got through and were able to complete the transaction. Weirdly, I am on Firefox, tried again just now, and still not able to get passed "processing." Will keep trying. It has to work eventually, right?

I had no problem ordering through IE. I have terrible scrolling problems with IE. But FF and Chrome both crash this dumb re-built computer. So I am stuck with IE.
I ordered 400 of the 9 x 12 Poly envs and the Holiday tissue. LOVE the fact that the polys don't smell like smoke.
I have 100's yet to air out that I have bought in the past year.

I tried again twice today. Still not able to get past "processing" on Firefox. Guess I will have to try on IE at some point, but haven't used that on this computer, so that means signing into everything and going through that whole process. There was never a problem before so it is frustrating.
Denise, I buy my regular envelopes on eBay through LCMailers. They have good prices, super fast delivery, all kinds of size combos depending on your needs, and never smell like anything. I wouldn't keep buying from your previous supplier if you have to air them out. Who needs that aggravation plus worrying that things will come back because of the smoke aroma?

Cindy-LCMailers sent smokey ones to me too. I have tried every seller possible. I quit complaining and just hang them for a week to air them out. Sure hope eBay comes out with smaller sizes.

Wow.......... I am surprised. I am VERY sensitive to smells, very allergic to mold or musty smell, so always very wary. I have never had a problem with their product. Sorry you had that problem.
