I was used to the avatars on the other board and didn't have to check the ID most of the time to see who was posting. Suddenly everyone looks different! Just another thing for my aging brain to get used to.

I think if the avatar maker wasn't so danged fun, folks would have uploaded their regular avatars.

I'm with you emerald. I don't do well with change. That's why I've stuck with the same garden picture for a gazillion years. Whenever someone changes their avatar, it takes me months to remember who they are.

Uh oh, maybe I should reconsider making changes to mine on a daily basis. But it's just so dang much fun.

So is everyone coming over here then? I'm a tiny bit confused. The part that's not confused remembers the TW. But...mostly confused. Can somebody 'splain me, please? Oh - and I can't be brian-i over here b/c no dashes are allowed. I hate the default avatar too, but I don't have the time/energy to change it right now. Not feeling the time/energy for figuring out the new digs either. But if this is our new home...then so be it.

Why does Emerald get to have capital letters, and an underscore? I tried brian-i & that wasn't allowed, then signed up as BrianI, and it's showing as briani.

Brian-i, go to the Profile Tab, then on the summary tab click "edit profile" on the right side. You'll see the avatar options.

Brian-i, go to the Profile Tab, then on the summary tab click "edit profile" on the right side. You'll see the avatar options. And when you are there you will also see Personal in the toolbar. Click on that and your can change your Display Name and use caps, underscores, etc.

The avatar builder on this site is pretty nifty. I think we're all going to have a lot of fun playing around with it (Jeremy has already undergone one massive transformation).
My avatar on the other board was a photo of the lady I hope to be in 20 years. But my avatar here is a truer representation of my current self -- dark purple hair and a goofy/perplexed expression.

The avatar maker is too much fun. I look about 20 30 yrs. older than my avatar. Couldn't find jowls and double chin.

I look about 20 30 yrs. older than my avatar. Couldn't find jowls and double chin. I have been trying to find the wrinkle button too but there just isn't one. And mine is about 30 years out of date too. Maybe that's why it's so popular, it's kind of like Mr Peabody's WayBack Machine.

I notified you because of this thread: www.ebayclothingsellers.com/forum/index.php?topic=9852.msg173230#msg173230This isn't the new version of any other group. It's just a different group where some people you know may be hanging out.

Welcome and if you need to change stuff, just go to your profile, you can change your "display name" which will probably allow the dashes and stuff. The avatar maker is fun and its in there too.

Brian-i, we're glad you're here. I know what you mean about figuring out the new digs. It takes a bit of looking around.
I was frustrated that I couldn't register my name with the underscore, but then I saw that Shirley had spaces and capitals in her ID so I found out how to display it that way. Glad you found it, too.

Glad you're here Brian & 57! I'm confused too, what are you confused abt Angelica? You want something "splained", but you don't say what???
Shirley, I saw that someone has a couple of wrinkles. I can't remember who it was & maybe it came with their glasses or some other feature? But there is a way to get some wrinkles, I just don't think you can put them anywhere you want.

I fixed Brian-i's display name for her, when I upped her post count so she could see the Clubhhouse.

Now you do. Of course, this is my straight-on shot. The other was rakishly tilted. But this one, I don't know, is more sincere.

I think I have to use the non-mobile version to create my avatar. Since I'm tucked in bed, I'll have to be a default blue head for now.

Angelica, you can use the same avatar you have on the other board. That's what I'm doing. Then when you have time, you can play with the avatar maker if you want.

I never ever had an avatar on the other board. I didn't even notice. I think I might add the fangs to mine so I can officially be a ding bat. Steph

I put off posting until I could make an avatar because I refuse to be represented by that smirking alien infant.

Thanks, Elly. I need all the help I can get. I have to check the names every time.
I can't do the avatar on my computer, but I'm happy to stay with the door logo. Although if I looked like Moonlit, I'd find a way to get my picture on here!
