It is Shirley! I'm going to tinker with my old avatar and crop it differently, then bring it back in and re-combine. But I think it's recognizable as my old avatar and I still get to use the new one.

I like how it looks. I hadn't tried that one yet as I don't have anything that would work as a background. But it looks like it would be a fun way to put different landscapes behind you, or you could even make things for holidays, say shamrocks for St Pattys. Oh goodie, more stuff to play with.

Shirley, I love you healing on the beach! (I hope your surgery went well.) Elly, it looks great! What a smart solution! Emerald, how sweet! Mom and I had a blast doing my avatar. I like the ones that look as close as possible to the real people. We fussed about things like the correct face shape and accurate lips. So mine is technically just like me. But she is much cuter. I suspect it is the absence of my dark under-eye circles. (And that the picture crops before you can see where my waist should be. )

Elly, that is really cool!
I've always wanted Lil Kim's chin (PRE surgery) & now I finally have it in my avatar. Other than that, she looks very much like me. Well, except for my eyes of course.

Mine looks a lot like me. I was tempted to perform virtual plastic surgery on my round face (in life, I do have a defined chin), but I went for as much accuracy as possible.

Okay, you guys are making this sound like too much fun and now that I see I can combine the old with the new, I'm going to give it a shot. Plus, I have a girl crush on moonlit's avatar.

Well, I tried and failed, but I'll stick with it for now. I need a bigger background pic and, except for the coloring, that person really looks nothing like me.

Moonlit's avatar looks like it should be out dancing in a fairy glen in moonlight. (that's a compliment, moon!)

Mine is how I want to look. Okay, not really, it's mainly how I feel inside

well, my avatar looks a lot more like me than the rough dude i have in the other forum lol. except i no longer have a mohawk, i just have my hair slicked back in a ponytail, but i loved that mohawk. also, i could only put one earring in when in actuality i have six so i opted for the sports goggles. and yeah, i actually do look like a boy in lipstick. the avatars are a gas and it's cool to see everyone's concepts!

Ok,my first post here. And yes, i'm glad too that they don't have a crows feet and double chin button here. I may have to play with it a little bit until I think it's me...or just because...

I can't do my avatar cos I can't work out how to update my Flash thingy. But my hatred of the grey alien is motivating me to work it out soon.

I love my avatar-- I am so skinny! And my hair looks amazing, not the usual pulled back look that I sport when thrifting.

Okay, I finally got Flash to install (but only by losing all my browser tabs <sobbing>) and now I'm thoroughly overwhelmed by too many avatar choices. And I'm only up to the hair!

The possibilities with the avatar maker are endless. I can never totally decide, so I just make some changes to mine every day. I figure I have about 127 years to use up all the possibilities.

Picking out an avatar was a little bit too much fun. Not an exact representation of me, but pretty close. I'm just a smidgeon older

I'll add my like to the avatar maker. I had too much fun with it. Still missing the princess leia buns I have a tendency to wear around the house.
Reminder: don't go out in public or the star wars geeks will follow you around the grocery store, LOL.

What's really bad is now I'm going to start looking for people that look like these avatars next time I shop out of town.

My computer didn't work well with the avatar maker, so I'm sticking with my old one.

My computer didn't work well with the avatar maker, so I'm sticking with my old one. Mine didn't either. I've been ignoring a prompt to update flash, maybe that would help. If it had worked better - who knows what my avatar might have ended up looking like, lol?

Ok - Thanks for the explanation Elly. I guess I didn't realize the end result of that thread was going to be a brand new board. I'll slowly get acclimated here, I'm sure. I LOVE getting to "meet" (sort-of) Moonlit's Mom. I'm sure she's even lovelier in person. Thanks to all who had a hand in letting us "see" her. I only got back to this thread b/c of the cool notification in my profile that I'd been quoted. That's a nifty feature! I'm off to check out my other quoting, and then back to reading by board as I stumble around getting accustomed.
