Val I have bought a lot over the last 60 days and probably a third of the labels on packages were hand written and show postage from the PO. It really surprised me cause several of them lost money on the shipping. Most were small sellers but there were a few bigger ones that should know better by now. I get lots of these also when buying on ebay and a lot of sellers don't even put in tracking #'s. Doesn't that count against you? This isn't small weight packages either. Most seemed to be closet cleaner type sellers. Makes me wonder if they don't have a printer and just assume that they will get the same rates at the PO as on ebay. I swear that any new seller should have to take a tutorial and pass a quiz before they can list.

I am going to give up my trs next month. I am not increasing my return length and now that we don't get good discounts with shipping, I am done.

Don't we have until May to make the change to 30 day returns to keep the 20% discount on fees?

You won't give up your actual TRS - you can still be that & get the shipping discounts (& it will say it on your feedback page -whoo hoo! lol.) You just won't be TRS+ with the badge on your listings & FVF discounts.

Neither stupid nor new, and I don't use eBay shipping....I get the same discounted postage with Inkfrog, and I can use my PP debit card to pay for my postage so I get 1.5% back on every penny I spend on shipping. Also, eBay and PayPal bulk printing options suck. Sorry if my wanting to use something besides direct pulls from PayPal to pay for my shipping has ruined it for everyone else.

I totally understand why you use Inkfrog & have been thinking about it myself for the exact same reason. Is the discount exactly the same - they get the commercial plus rate also (is there even a commercial plus rate anymore?) How is the learning curve?

The learning curve for the shipping is about zero. The discount is exactly the same, you need to have a Stamps.com account to buy the non-premium services and the minimum amount of postage you must buy at once is 25 bucks, but it stays in your account indefinitely.

Thanks for the info! I started to sign up once & backed out when I saw I had to put up $25 at one time. Yes, I'm cheap lol.

I have one of the Free stamps.com ebay accounts but it can't be used for personal packages. Does anyone know of any other shipping company that offers any of the discount shipping rates without joining and paying a monthly fee besides Paypal? Thanks! You can create a label without a corresponding Ebay order by clicking on Add Order under Batch Shipping. Maybe you aren't supposed to, but it will let you and I've done it many times over the past ~2 years without any issues.
