It's kinda funny - everytime you've had a kitten (or kittens) posted here, I turn the monitor around and ask him if he wants a buddy. He looks at the picture(s), yawns and goes back to sleep on his blanket here on the desk. I showed him Trixie's pic and asked him if he wanted a polite kitten who might not like strangers any more than he does and he started purring. Of course, that could be because he was all comfy on the blanket and the heater was on under the desk.

One thing she just started doing last night was climbing up my sweatpants leg and getting in my lap when I was on the computer making reservations etc.
Maybe she knew that I was getting things set up for her furever home.

LOLOL Just too cute.
Daisy had Trixie down and was trying to groom her. Trixie was squawking and had gone to a defense position on her back with all 4 legs in the air.
I spoke loudly to Daisy and she stood completely still over Trixie. Both were frozen in time until Trixie reached over and gave Daisy a few taps on her leg and it was game on again.

I told the cashier in Petsmart last night that it was official, I was getting a second cat and would be a CCL. She laughed. Said she didn't think CCL applied until one had at least a half dozen cats. I'm so relieved. No, no, no. You can be a CCL with only one cat, it's all in your behaviour and attitude. Do you talk to your cat? Do you consider its feelings? Do you ever try to negotiate a compromise with the cat? Do you feel bad if you wake it up? If you were short of money would you buy cat food or litter rather than human food? Have you ever maintained an uncomfortable position so as not to disturb the cat? If you have a visitor who doesn't like your cat do you secretly start to dislike them? Do you buy home furnishings and/or clothing based on how little the cat can damage them? Do you love the cat more than the majority of people in your life? And, finally, do you own OR admire cat-themed clothing or decor? If you answered yes to more than two of the above, you might be a CCL.

So when's the exciting day? And what's the itinerary? You two gals gonna stuff yourself full of cupcakes, hit a few thrifts on the sugar-rush then go out on the tiles?

Looks like the day is 2/13. Probably get Trixie spayed next week or the end of this week.
Trixie and I are flying to El Paso which I never in my wildest dreams I would see again in this lifetime. Val is going to meet us there.
Trixie's ticket cost $10 less than mine did and she doesn't even get a seat but has to ride on the floor. No beverage or peanuts either. Whats up with that, Southwest?

Hey, Val picked the date.
its probably a good plan anyway because Trixie seems to be stuck at 1.15 lbs. and she can't go until she has been spayed.
She is a dainty eater and is apparently watching her weight.

She is probably burning it off trying to run away from Daisy and her baths.

Kritter has a typo (LOL!). It's 2/13, not 9/13. Trixie is a valentine gift for me and Hootie. Hootie's staying home on this trip, though. (Yes, he does travel with me sometimes, he's a good traveler. Trixie is getting broken into traveling early.)

OK, changed it. Definitely a typo on my part.
We are going on FEBRUARY 13.

Daisy was taking a sunbath snooze this morning until Trixie decided that it was time to play. Then when Daisy plays back, Trixie starts yelling at the top of her screechy voice.

She only tries to start stuff with Daisy. She pretty much ignores the other cats like she knows that they are not going to put up with her kitten self.

All is calm now. Daisy went back to her sun snooze and Trixie is in the blue bed on the couch settling down for a nap. All are sleeping peacefully. Time to turn on the vacuum cleaner and see all fly for cover.

That first pic is ABSOLUTELY adorable! The look on Trixie's face! She's saying, "See, Val? See what I have to put up with here?"

The Trixster weighed 2.1 this morning so will call a friend and get her to take her in for her spay either tomorrow or early next week.
Also get her combo tested but still too young for rabies.
I will try again with PB on loading those pics.
