No new pics, sorry. However, I will say that this has to be one of the sweetest kittens I've ever had. Pick her up, she purrs. Sit down, she gets in your lap and purrs. She's letting me pet her now while she's standing around, instead of scampering away.
She's so funny, it's like she has rubberbands for joints. The positions she gets in are so funny. And she rolls and stretches like an old gumby toy. Hootie doesn't hiss when she tries to eat his food, he just steps away and watches, or he goes over to her bowl and eats. Apparently, though, he isn't yet willing to share his sleeping area. He was in the papasan chair last night and she wanted so badly to curl up with him, so she hopped over and got in the chair. Not good, he hissed, growled, slashed and yowled. SHe rolled over with paws up in the air, squeeked, and then rolled off the chair.

She must have come from a great foster home. She probably thought that Hootie was Dori in disguise because that is how Dori would get her point across when Trixie invaded her space.

She must have come from a great foster home. I've heard good reports of the place, but unfortunately it's closing its doors to kittens. Such a shame to lose such a valuable asset to the community.

Do they sleep on the bed when you're in it, Val?

Yup. Trixie was getting up about 5:45 but Hootie and I both set her straight on that one real quick. Now she lets both of us sleep until 7:00. She kept trying to eat Hootie's food, until I moved her food bowl next to his. Now they chow down out of the correct bowls. Like I told Kritter, I guess Trixie wanted to eat at the grown up table.

She was just fussing at me because I was petting her and not giving her any of my icecream bar that had chocolate in it. I told her she'd get over it.

She could be a bit spoiled being the only baby here at the time.
Isn't she just the little talker? She talks more than all my other cats put together.

If I sit down and don't pet her, she gets up on my shoulder so I have no option but to notice her.
Smart cat.

Wait until Miss P finds out you're saying "No" to that precious baby. ((Trixie))

You're saying "NO" to that gorgeous wittle fluffball?!! But she's stripey! I wonder you can sleep at night, Val! lol. Now is the time to teach her lots of words. "Off" is a good one. "Wait" is good too, but they won't all learn it. When Bubby wants bad food I say, "Not for pussycats!" and she stops trying to get it. Of course that mainly works because she gets bits of the other 99% of stuff I eat. And "rolly-pollies" or "roll over" is a cute one.

She was poucing on the bed last night, coming up and backing off trying to get Hootie to play. She was doing the jump on all four paws things kittens do, like they 're on springs (kinda like Tigger does). Hootie ignored her for a bit, then decided to fake her out and lunged. She jumped back and right off the bed. We heard a thunk like she hit something other than carpet, so Hootie and I both leaned over and looked over the side of the bed. She gets up, gives us this "It's good! I'm good!" look, runs under the bed, out the other side and back up on the bed thinking she'll get both of us from behind while we aren't watching.

Val, stuff her under the covers and then randomly poke her as she explores. I bet she'll squeak.

Hootie has a blanket on the left side of my desk. He was sleeping on it and Trixie decided to snooze on the file cabinet next to the desk. I looked up a little later, and Hootie had moved to the front of the blanket and Trixie was on the back (of same blanket). The Hootie started stretching out and trying to edge her off the blanket. She just got up, stepped over him, and laid down on the front of the blanket. Smart girl.

She's so stinking cute. She's a sweetie, too. Hootie is snoozing on his pillow in the bedroom so she's up here on the desk blanket. She's discovered the patio view from the desk. I'm putting a bird feeder out there and maybe a bird bath, so the two cats will have something to look at besides traffic.
