Those plush microfiber blankets are the best! My cats love them, too.

Hootie and I fight over the cream colored one. Now it looks like it will be me, Hootie and Trixie fighting over it.

Trixie should win because she is just a baby.

Hootie should win because he's OLD and has been Val's faithful friend all these years. Plus there's this young whippersnapper in HIS house. He needs softness and warmness.

Cut it in half, then they can both have one.
But then Val will be out in the cold, good thing spring is coming.

Trixie shared the fleece blanket here with Sabrina so Hootie will be a relief to share with for her.

Poor Daisy has been so quiet this week. I think she is still going through Trixster withdrawal.
NO MORE KITTENS!
Daisy is going to have to get over it.

The Humane Society send out a blast yesterday for a foster for 3 six week old cute as a button kittens. Looked at the pic, thought "How cute are they", and deleted the email.

Sheesh, she may just mean it this time! Nah, it never lasts for long. With kitten season coming up I foresee Daisy having little playmates sometime in the near future.

Apparently they worked out their differences yesterday while I was at work. I came home to two calm, friendly cats.
I keep trying to get pics of trixie but by the time the camera is ready to use, she's scampered off.

The Trixster doesn't let any grass grow under her feet. She has places to go and things to do.

Uh huh, whatever you say Kritter. This will be Kritters house in March: Oh oh ohhhhhh! Imagine having that many kittens, all at once! It'd be like an invading army of cuteness and naughtiness (which is also cute). You could cuddle them by the armful and be woken up at 3am to hear them thundering madly around the house. You'd find them in your bed, under the sofa, on the curtains, behind the fridge. You'd have to do several head-counts a day. Sooooo many kittens! I've never imagined that many before, but now that I have I'll never be happy again.

That many would be so much fun to play with. But oh the mess of feeding time, and then there are all the litter boxes and teaching them how to use them.

When I was the foster coordinator at the shelter, I would have 6 or 7 tottering babies in the bathroom, a bunch of 6 to 8 weeks old in the foster bedroom, and cages of bottle feeders in the bedroom that is now the Ebay bedroom.
I think the most I ever had at the same time was 27 kittens that were under 8 weeks old. That would have been at the height of kitten season.
Its not as much fun as it would seem to be first thing in the morning and putting them to bed at night.

Yep, 27 kittens.
I think Tabby came to visit around that time and we were either stuffing kittens back into the bathroom and trying to close the door or stuffing kittens back into the foster bedroom and trying to close the door before they all tumbled out again.
I don't think I had any bottle feeders then because we abandoned my house to the kittens and stayed at the Residence Inn.
If we hadn't been laughing so hard it would have probably been easier.

I can't imagine that many, the most I have ever had was 9 and that was like a Chinese fire drill.

Not a Kitten Goddess. It was just easier for me to take them into the shelter foster care program than turn them away. At one time we had over just 200 kittens in foster care.

Shirley, you burst my bubble with your talk of litter boxes! Kritter, exactly how does one put a kitten to bed? I thought you just let them sleep where they collapsed. 27 kittens...just once it'd be cool. No bottle feeders though, that's too much responsibility for me. If they're tiny they can come with Momkat, though. I like Momkats.

I put all my cats/kittens to bed every night.
Clean the litter boxes, fill the food and water bowls, and turn off the lights.

Settling down in bed yourself with a book to read also puts the cats (all ages) to bed too. Doesn't seem to work as well with TV watching, though.
