Get that cat tree put together. She will love the tree.

This time next week Trixie will be choosing which toys she wants to take with her to Hootie's house.

What if she wants to take Daisy? Hey, that would work for me but I think Val would be shipping Daisy back before the sun sets. Daisy is my wild child; she knows the boundaries but she doesn't acknowledge them. Right now she and Trixie are running like banshees from the living room to the dining room and back.

I used to have a black cat named Boo. Brought home an adorable American Eskimo puppy. Once Boo realized the dog was staying, she started playing with him. They'd run up and down the hall in turbo speed. I was on the phone one day and Boo leaped onto the table, ran to the other end, then leaped from the table to the back of the sofa (back was facing dining room), maybe 4'-6' away? Easy jump for a cat, right? The dog was chasing right along, jumped up on the dining table and I had to grab him really fast because he was about to try the leap to the sofa. No way that klutzy puppy was gonna make that leap.
Two cats running like banshees are doable.

OK, then, good to know. Let me make a call to Southwest and get Daisy added on to the passenger list.

No silly, I meant two cats period. Hootie and Trixie. Adding Daisy would be three cats.

I don't think Daisy and Hootie would hit it off too well

Oh no, Daisy is going to be so disappointed.
She really doesn't have much to do with the other cats except when a kitten is involved. She is more of a "Your rules don't belong to me" kind of cat. She constantly challenges my "head of the herd" role.

Just tell her I had too many rules and she wouldn't have liked it here. She'll get over it.

Rules for Daisy. She laughs at rules. Rules are for the other cats not her.

Awww... do you think Daisy will miss Trixie? It sounds like they've bonded a little.

Daisy is used to kittens coming and going for her whole 5 year life so she will carry on with or without them.
Val, Trixie is used to rejection around here from the rest of the Missy family except for Lucy and Daisy so she will be OK. Right now she is in the living room playing with toys by herself. The other cats are all taking a snooze.
NO MORE KITTENS!

I'm old and my memory isn't what it used to be, but I think I have heard that before too.

Nope, no kittens for Kritter.
I am going back to cats recovering from surgery/medical reasons.

Nope, no kittens for Kritter. I am going back to cats recovering from surgery/medical reasons. But you've always coped with both before. And where will all the teensy, tiny, lonely little kittens go? Have a heart, lady!
