My favorite part is when they realize that they can make the ball go themselves. A little awkward at first but they are fast to catch on.
Blind Lucy whacks it so hard that it really spins around. She is the reigning trackball champ here.

Not only is Toby a cutie but he is a smart kitten. He was running around in the living room for awhile and then wandered into the den. NOTE: His cage sits on top of the coffee table in the den. When I took him out earlier, I closed the cage door but didn't slide the bolt. Was concentrating on listing when I heard a crunching noise behind me. Looked around and Toby had climbed back up on the table and into his cage by himself and was having a snack. He then went over and put himself to bed in his clean litter box.

Everytime I see kitty picture I make wishes to ask for my allergies to go away, they are so cute and you can just see the personality they have. Any updates on my boy Jackson? I was thinking about him again because my friend is in the process of adopting a 3 legged boxer but he is missing a back leg. He gets around just like Jackson though, runs and swims. Animals amaze me with their adaptability.

I don't get an impression of naughtiness off him at all. I think he's a sweety. He even opened his cage door! I think he might be the kind of cat that has moments of naughtiness but basically tries to be good. That first pic in the cage he's saying, "See Kritter, I'm a no-fuss cat. Keep me, love me furever!"

He is a smart one. He did the same thing this morning. I had let him out with the Missy family while I cleaned his cage. He was romping all over the cat trees so I let him stay out while I did the other cat chores.
Was watching him from the kitchen and saw him jump on the couch then cross over to the coffee table, open his cage door and go in to eat. Apparently he doesn't care for the adult cat food and prefers his kitten chow. After he ate, he curled up for a snooze.
No news on Jackson. Some adopters are good about followup and others have a life. The rescue always gives adopters a call after a couple of weeks to see how things are going.
I have fostered 100s of kittens and have never had one open the cage door and go in the cage on their own. Most of the time it is a challenge to stuff them in while they are wanting to go the other way.

Petti, he is not naughty, he is just a fearless kitten.
Some kittens are on the shy sweet side and some kittens like Jackson and Toby are all over the place active. They know no fear and you have to watch them closer because they will get themselves into situations that may not be in their best interest.

Awww! He is just so cute. I would be holding him all day and get nothing done. How old do you think he is? Maybe he was in a cage at some point before and it reminds him of home or mom?

I'd have to keep him, and not just because of his chic grey fur and his cute tummy. He's showing such intelligence so young! I bet he'd be trainable. First thing I'd teach him would be how to fetch. Then how to use the human toilet. Then we'd start on cute videos that would make us millionaires. If I lived anywhere near you I'd pre-pre-adopt, or maybe just climb in the window and steal him so we could start our happy life together ASAP. The only time my cats want to get in a cage is at the vet, to get away from the prodding and prying.

Jelly, he is right around 9 weeks old.
Its evident that he was loved by somebody before he was injured and picked up as a stray. He is way too friendly and loving to have been a stray from the start.
Most kittens that have been in a cage do not want to go back into one especially on their own. That is why I was so surprised that he went in last night. I have never had a kitten do that before and now he has done it twice.
I love the kittens but my heart is with the older cats that are dumped out of their homes and need a place. They are the ones that are hard for me to resist.

Chloe (my smart gray cat) is not naughty- just manipulative and high maintainence. I absolutely know I could have potty trained her to the human toilet. When I litter trained her I swear she'd squeeze out a drop whenever I put her in there even if she didn't have to go and then look at me for approval. She knew what to do by the second time it just took me longer to get with the program. I hate the toilet lid left open so ultimately it was the litter box for her.

Maybe I ought to grab KRITTERKAM.COM just in case I get a herd of kittens in the future.

This morning would have been a great time for the Kritterkam.
Toby discovered the toy basket in the den and has been taking them out one by one to play with. If any of the big cats come to see whats going on, he picks up the current play toy in his mouth and walks away with it and growling that lil kitten growl.
I took some pics but bet they are all blurred.

She will push things off tables, pull the giant mirror away from the wall and let it bang, scratch the sides of doors, rifle papers, make all sorts of irritating noises to get treats. OK, maybe she is just naughty.

I love how they carefully push something off a table with little bats of their paw, then look down at it on the floor very seriously, like it's a science experiment. Then they look at YOU.
