She is fast on her feet and now that she has got the lay of the land, she is ready to put one over on me since I took her kittens away.
If she had shot off the sidewalk, there is a good chance I would have lost her in the dark.
I could leave the door wide open and none of my indoor cats would step one paw outside. I have never had a foster get away from me and she will not be the first. She will probably like the cat pen.

Sneaky little devil.
How are the kittens doing without having a 24 hour milk bar?

Crazy girl, what was she thinking? She's got babies to nurse!

The kittens are running everywhere in the hall and foster bedroom.
Sabrina watches them like a hawk from her view on top of the totes. She came down off her perch last night when I was in there with them but retreated when the kittens climbed on the couch with me.
Sabrina is like me...No motherly instincts at all.

You're dripping with motherly instinct, kitty rather than human type.

That China, I like her. She's pretty and independent and ready to leave those kittens in the dust to go and live the high life again.

Some kittens who would hold still long enough for my camera to take them.

They are precious! It makes me sad DBF is super duper allergic to cats so no cute kittehs in my future.

They are at the climbing the legs stage and my legs are all scratched up.
Their little claws are like needles. Guess I need to get the clippers out.

They get on the couch with me at night and then comes the rastlin'. Then one of them gets mad and things go downhill. All kinds of kitten screams going on until I separate them.
When I came home from the store this afternoon, they had Sabrina treed on the bathroom counter. Apparently she came down from her perch while they were asleep and then they woke up and surrounded her before she got back out of their reach. I had to carry her back to the cat tree because she wouldn't come off the counter while they were there.

I keep telling Sabrina that it will be over soon. They will be gone in a couple of weeks at the most and then she will have her room.
She has been getting better about hanging on the cat tree rather than right below the ceiling on top of the totes.

She will be so grateful to get rid of 5 kittens that she may be a whole different cat.

I'm still in love with your kittens.
For about three years I had a female feral cat outside that looked similar to these guys. She had the most beautiful crystal blue eyes. In three years I was only able to pet her one time. She was constantly on guard. She had a litter of kittens when I first met her and my daughter and I called that Summer - The Summer of Stealing Kittens. She would hide these kittens where it was near impossible to get them. And she kept guard. She kept moving them and we kept finding them. We found all of them homes and then I did a catch and release. Fixed, shots, etc...
I lost her about a year ago. My husband found her out back and it looked like a painful death. Not sure what she got in to. I still miss her. I could stare at her eyes all day. I never could figure out a name for her so I called her Girl. After that litter of kittens, we were out there all the time giving her extra food and water.

"Summer of Stealing Kittens" Those are the things that you and your daughter will look back on many years from now and smile.
Thank you for making sure that was her last litter of kittens.

I always try to catch and release the strays in this area. Here's a photo of her and one of her kittens. I guess she wasn't as light as I remember her.

Beautiful cat and kitten.
Always makes me wonder when beautiful cats like her end up on the streets. Not your typical feral stray.

These kittens and their momma are on my last nerve. If its not enough of a challenge to keep the momma from going through the hall door to get with them, they have now decided that they want to explore the rest of the house and are trying to dash through the door into the living room.
Hoping some of them have put on enough weight to go back to the rescue this week for spay/neuter. Very optimistic I realize but still have a hope.
I am ready to get back to just having the Missy family and Sabrina.

Yes, when the kittens get to this 7-8 week age, I am ready for them to go.
They were all up on the couch with me last night during the reading time. All would be quiet and then one would start picking on the one next to her and the game was on.
I remember back 6 or 7 years ago when I was working at the shelter, I would have 10 to 15 of them running around at one time. Now 5 are getting the best of me.
Its a bitch to get old.

Having 5 would send me straight up the wall. Heck just 3 are driving me crazy and they are only 5 weeks old.
Boris goes in this week for his snip and hopefully that will calm him down a bit. I'm not counting on it though. It sure didn't slow Bitty down at all.
I don't know how you do it all Kritter.
