val2525, did anybody come pick up that wayward cart yet? Inquiring minds want to know.

Gee Val...you could write a book on deliveries! not only on her deliveries but she could write a book on her apartment problems/repairs. Val - is everything all set with the raccoons? Did they finally get them all out?

Last day of training, experiencing what the first 4 hours of my shift will be when it will be busiest with employees starting at different shifts. Fortunately, my vintage Sony Dream Machine (dual alarm, radio and cassette player) still works great. I found copy of manual online to refresh my memory setting alarms, snooze bar (essential because I don't just pop out of bed, I need to ease out) and reset when done snoozing. Went off promptly at 4am, giving me plenty of time to get dressed, enjoy coffee and (hopefully) be fully awake by the time I leave around 5:15am since it only takes around 35 minutes to get there, and probably less time since there's probably a lot less traffic at this hour.
I have an old Sony too. One that I can set two alarms for 7 days a week (Same time every day but I can pick the days). It is a backup for my iphone. My old one started going bad (buttons sticking) and I was able to find a replacement on eBay.

Val - is everything all set with the raccoons? Did they finally get them all out? So far, so good. They caught the last batch much quicker than the first batch. It shouldn't be too bad now given the only access they'll have is the roof and apparently it's easier for the critter guy to find those openings. I have 15 bean soup in the slow cooker. It smells pretty good. This is the first time I've made it in decades. I think I quit making it because you used to have to cook it on the stove top and that was a PITA. Now it's dump in the slow cooker and ignore it for 5-6 hrs

15 kinds of beans? I don't even know of that many kinds.
I hate the thought of having a tumor in my lung, but I love the thought that I will probably be on another chemo. So I can eat foods with folic acid in them again....beans, broccoli, avocados, spinach, oranges....etc. Of course, I might soon be bald...

I googled it and there are over 400 types of beans. That's a lot! The Hurst 15 bean soup mix in the grocery stores has Northern, Pinto, Large Lima, Yelloweye Bean, Garbanzo, Baby Lima, Green Split Pea, Kidney, Cranberry Bean, Small White, Pink Bean, Small Red, Yellow Split Pea, Lentil, Navy, White Kidney and Black Bean. (Yeah, the ingredient list shows 17 beans.)

Has anybody bought anything from Temu? I am so tempted because they have cute things at inexpensive prices but there must be a catch. I just can't seem to pull the trigger and go through with an order.

Actually, did my 3 days of 4 hour shift, the last was 6-10am (that was tough getting up way early), but even the busy time wasn't all that busy. Off next week to get fingerprinted and lots to do before my trip to GA following week. I officially start 8 hour shift on the 30th. As long as I know where to send truck drivers who don't know where to go, I shouldn't have any problems. Thank you for asking!

I just can't seem to pull the trigger and go through with an order. I've actually placed several orders with them and been happy with what I've gotten. My only complaint was ordering a metal sign that's supposed to be a gift that arrived bent, which is surprising how tight they wrap packages. Can't beat the prices and free shipping over $10.
I was hesitant to order, too, so first order was just over $10 to see how it went.

Their return policy looks pretty good. They have some really adorable cat stuff. You're doomed, Kritter

I ordered a few small things at Temu and they were fine. At my grandson's football game last week, one of the mothers in the stands had the cutest sunglasses with jewels along the side. She got them for a few $$ at Temu. She also said that she has purchased clothing at Temu and loved them. I didn't get a chance to ask her about the sizing, though.
Val-thanks! My WM has those beans and I hope with my possibly new chemo that I can eat dried beans again. Good thing that I live alone for the gas issues....
I shopped at our new huge Aldi today since they keep sending coupons for $5 off a $30 purchase. They have an amazing variety of everything. It is in our former Staples store.

Since Temu has a good return policy, I decided to order a few things. The amount of cat themed stuff on that website is amazing I did order a Christmas top, to get an idea of the sizing. I noticed they do give some measurements which I think are garment measurements, since they run a little larger than the body measurements on the size guide. We shall see. I also noticed that there was a lot of the same stuff on Temu that I see on Etsy. But at about 1/4 the price as Etsy. Fortunately I didn't see the rug I bought for the kitchen on Temu. I would have been ROYALLY pissed if I had. Anyone with neck and shoulder pain, this is awesome: www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN1RX4FW?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

LOL I know. I got totally sucked in last night. I finally shut it down with a plan to make some decisions today after I vacuum this house. I don't know how these cats have any hair left on their bodies considering all the hair coating the floors.

You're doomed on that site, Kritter I'm browsing it right now to see if I can find some things I have saved in my AMZ cart for less.

I am still vacuuming so haven't been back yet except to look at the stuff you bought and then get all wrapped up in some of the suggestions on those pages. Vacuuming as fast as I can.

Temu is like the Chinese version of the old ebay- tons of stuff to look at that can take up a lot of time. Everything's arrived within estimated delivery date. Expect to get at least several emails with promotions daily. It's now the first place I go to if I'm looking for something. I did google reviews first because I was also skeptical to order. Just get used to waiting at least a couple weeks for delivery since it's coming from overseas, picked up at airport, arrives in US, goes through customs and then to other facilities and could arrive by several different carriers.

Some of the stuff ships from the US, Stay. It will say so on the listing if it does. Still, even with the extending shipping time they still ship faster than Zulily does. My flat back Christmas tree came in. Four feet on the wall is a lot larger than I thought it would be A 3' or 2' would work better. Fortunately the 2' is at multiple retailers so I can price shop So far the only place I've found the 3' is at Home Depot.
