LOL A package that I mailed Priority yesterday took four scans several hours apart to finally leave the San Antonio sort center this morning. It was like it thought it had a ride to the Irving sort center but apparently the bus was full before it got on so it had to wait for the next one, and the next one and the next one until it finally got a seat on the 4th bus to Irving.
Then it has two scans arriving at the Irving sort center this afternoon.
Apparently we tend to overscan here in Texas to make up for the lack of scanning everywhere else.

I had an Etsy order from a lady in Tennessee (I'm in Indiana) on November 23. There had been no scans and I finally opened a lost mail search last week. This buyer was super patient and totally understanding. I kept in touch with her every step of the way. I told her that if it hadn't shown up after 30 days I would refund or replace it. Well, it was delivered today and she was a vey happy person and gave excellent shop feedback.

Kritter, I agree with you about our Texas P.O.'s overscanning. I mailed a package yesterday. It was scanned in at Austin, 4 minutes later it was scanned in there again. 3 minutes after that it departed. Several hours later it arrived again. It must have missed its ride and hours later got tired of hanging out in the parking lot and shamefacedly went back in the building.

I belong to a Vera Bradley BST group on Facebook. A lady in California was selling masks for $5 each with $4 shipping. We communicated through FB messenger and I paid $14 via PayPal. She said she mailed them but never provided a tracking number. That was last week. Guess I’ll wait a little longer before I message her.
I gave up on checking tracking numbers.... I think everyone knows what’s going on and there isn’t anything I can do so not going spend time worrying about it.

Just got an email that my Citi Bank payment was late, BUT I had mailed a check on Dec 8. I am one of the hold-outs who prefer to mail in my payments, rather than phone one in.
So I called and did a phone payment and guess that I'd better do phone payments for quite a while now. But I have soooo many bills to have to phone in. Whine.
Meanwhile, a cookbook that I sent via Media Mail arrived to the buyer in only TWO days!!! She only lives 15 miles away, but still.....

Then quicken and checkfree departed ways. I didn’t like the way Wells Fargo does bill pay so I log in to each credit card account and pay there. I only pay a few things through Wells Fargo. still debating doing ebilling.

BTW I think citi doesn’t report a late payment if it is paid fairly quickly. I remember we went to get Gunner and it was a long day. I missed that payment, got the email and paid right away. No problem.

Personal experience here. My Informed delivery on Saturday said I had a package that was to be delivered on Monday. On Monday I got an Informed Delivery saying "Yep, that package is being delivered today". Instead that package took a side day trip to Fort Worth.
Today my Informed Delivery said that package is being delivered to me today. I am beginning to think that ID has been tossed out of the loop and doesn't have a clue what is really going to be delivered.
I opened a Lost Mail report on my Priority package that was mailed on 12/12 and hasn't been scanned since leaving here on that date. Just want it on the record and hopefully it will get a bump from wherever it is stuck.

No problem. They waived my late payment fee since this was my first late payment. It has just always been easier for me to write out a check and mail it.

It is easier for me to write checks too. I don't have than many each month..Just my credit card bills and my city electricity/gas.
Everything else goes on my credit cards for the cash back.

If you bank offers low or no cost stop-pays you could look at putting a stop on it.

I always assumed it had to do with how many times an item went around on the conveyor. I've seen it countless times, both at the Denver sort center & at destination sort centers.

May be a coincidence but after I filed the Lost Mail report this morning, the package scanned this afternoon at the Lehigh Valley PA Distribution Center.
It had not scanned anywhere since 12/12 when it left San Antonio.

I just pay my Citi bill online - they have an easy app to do that.
It was like it thought it had a ride to the Irving sort center but apparently the bus was full before it got on so it had to wait for the next one, and the next one and the next one until it finally got a seat on the 4th bus to Irving.
Maybe it somehow got transported to the notorious Number 5 route in Seattle. It went up to my neighbourhood from town and sometimes so many busses would pass that were overloaded that I'd just give up and walk home. They kept putting more busses on the route and more people would just keep climbing on.
Someone on Posh purchased 7 kimono and it came to 15 lb - I was packing those things for quite a while since 6 were the long ones. I had to split the order and I really hope both boxes make it to her before 2022.

I'm down to so few bills now since I'm renting out my house and Cliff had no desire to switch anything up as far as his utilities go (fine by me). I give him rent money every month and we call it good. I use bill pay for few things and pay a few credit cards directly on the sites. I refuse to do banking on my phone, I'm never away from home for long enough to find banking aps even a little necessary. Only use checks to pay quarterly taxes and occasionally mail in a balance due from doctor appointments.

Either by ACH from your bank's website, or directly at the credit card/utility/whatever bill it is website. It doesn't take any time at all to pay that way. Much faster than calling. I have my regular recurring bills like internet, phone, tv subscriptions etc set up on auto pay on credit card. That way I only have to pay the credit cards and my insurance bill. I only have one bill that I cannot pay electronically. It's a credit card from a fairly large bank, but the only way to make an "online" payment is to go to your bank, use the bank bill pay and have the bank MAIL the check. Hell no. I've been sucking it up and paying the $10 pay by phone fee. And every month I leave a bitchy review for them on FB, wallethub, creditkarma, you name it

I've never understood that kind of ridiculous policy - they DO know it's no longer the 1990s?! I'd complain, too.
The only checks I make out are to charities and federal income tax, and my only expenses lately are computer equipment as my other stuff is wearing out ($1800 for a laptop and $650 for a new PC tower), and that's a once in 10 years expense and just goes on the credit card as I like that backup. I charge almost nothing else. I'm just not a credit card sort of person, particularly after working my way out of 80k worth of debt from the dot-com crash when all I could do was keep flipping the debt from card to card until I finally paid it off. Ever since then, the idea of debt is anathema to me. Which means my credit score suffers. Oh well.

Late bloomer, immaturity, not sure what is was but I didn't get my finances under control until I starting getting into Ebay in my 30's. Went through the Consumer Credit Counseling program two times so didn't use credit cards for a long time. When exbf came along he liked to travel so he talked me into a Southwest Visa for business expenses, did fine with it and it was the only one I had until a few years ago. Decided to get one to use for non business and finally feel comfortable using them but probably don't as often as I should for the perks. Feels good to financially be on the up and up.
The last quarterly tax payment it sitting here ready do go. Was going to mail it today but decided to wait. Hopefully things will get back to normal in the few weeks.

My hesitancy to pay bills online is the internet security issue. Guess I will take the chance anyway, since it will be a long time before mail gets back to normal.

My package that was MIA for 12 days is not Out For Delivery. I should have filed that Lost Mail report earlier if that was what got it on it's way.
Everything that I buy goes on my credit cards for the cash back and I pay my credit cards off every month. Always have and always will. I don't even carry cash with me.

Me too. Too old to change my ways for the small stuff.
My utilities are on line with exception of electricity/gas so they get a check because there is a fee to pay by credit card and I don't pay fees. The 3 credit cards get checks every month and so far no issues with delays.

Well, I did pay my water bill online, and wasn't that hard to set up. Just got it yesterday and it is due Dec 30.
I have never been out of debt since my ex left me with a ton of bills. And then the joys of home ownership repairs, etc. But it helps that I no longer get out to buy stuff for listing. That sure saves my credit cards. My daughter is now buying on online auctions and going to estate sales. So I have enough stuff to list forever.
My problem is that online payments come out immediately, and I don't have the cushion to mail out payments a few days before my SS hits my bank.

The snow globe made it to Macon Georgia. Just has to get to my buyer.
I paid my trash bill on the trash co website and the oil bill via e-check on their website. Don't trust the mail for getting the payments there. Thanks for the heads up on payments being late too.

For those hesitant to pay credit card bills online, they do have two step authentication if you go to the credit card co website. It is a PITA because I have to grab my iphone but it is also an added security feature.
