My Priority package that I mailed last Saturday to Pa. is still not scanning after it left the sorting center here. I put in a missing mail alert with USPS yesterday and this morning have an email from the receiving city that they are looking for the package. It was supposed to be a 2 day delivery.
On the other hand the two that I mailed a few days earlier sailed right though in 2 days but they stayed down here on the southern route instead of trying to go north into the USPS black hole..

Kritter I saw photos of our sort center in Philly. It's a mess.
My jacket arrived and I gave the seller 5 star feedback and commented that she shipped immediately. I was asked by ebay if it arrived on time, lol:)

The delayed package is going to Cresco. I had put in a Lost Mail investigation yesterday and got an email from the Cresco post office this morning that they are looking into the delay. Apparently they won't have far to look.

I just read this on FB from a seller friend of mine in AZ:
Day 19 waiting on a package shipped from Gilbert to Peoria. (30 miles) Day 23 waiting on package from west Tx. FYI if you have any packages sitting at the Phx hub take picture of the gift and wrap it. Per my mailman They have 18 tractor trailers setting at the docks for weeks with no one to move the boxes. Every computer operator has COVID with no one to run the machines. They shut down the plant to clean it, employees not satisfied so they called out. Called all local carriers to help this weekend, they are just hoping someone will show up.

Glad I changed all of my listings to priority mail only on my maid id, don't think I'll switch them back to first class for another or two. Might be losing some sales but that's okay, haven't had any under $200 sale days since the switch, I can live with that. I'm done worrying and checking tracking numbers, there isn't anything I can do about it but I do have a few Christmas stockings that sold early December and the tracking still hasn't updated since 12/8. It's getting a little ridiculous. I don't know how USPS can advertise mail will be delivered in time for Christmas when they're not moving packages that have been sitting for weeks. Pi$$es me off, especially with the looming rate hikes. I have several personal packages that are in limbo. A few things are stocking stuffers, if they don't arrive in time it's no big deal. Just ordered some padded flate rate envelopes, it'll be interesting to see how long they take. I ordered some supplies last week & they were here in 4 days. But they were not PFRE's. I have a ton of pkgs that only have my sort center scan as their only scan. I think the pkgs ARE moving, just not getting scanned. The last few deliveries have no other scans until the delivery scans or the sort center of the destination & the delivery. They are all getting there, just taking about 7-8 days & are not being scanned along the way.

Dang it I really really hope so, the ones that haven't been scanned since the 5th-8th are the only ones that are concerning me. I still haven't heard from anyone or had any cases opened due to the delays. I'm very grateful but it surprises me a little. You'd thing there'd be at least one clueless impatient person in the bunch

Kudos to Amazon. I got notice an item was shipped yesterday I was supposed to get today and not only was it recently delivered, but left outside my apartment door instead of outside the building or inside in the lobby. That's 3 sets of 6 stairs for whoever delivered so bonus points for that. At least Amazon has its s*it together.
Has anybody had delays with FedEx and UPS? I would assume they're running behind on deliveries as well.

I just received a note from Posh that an item that I shipped from that site is delayed. I got one of those messages from Posh too. Are we supposed to let the buyer know or is Poshmark doing that?
I've got 11 in limboland on Etsy, some dating back to Nov 23. Starting to get nastygrams from a few. I'm just refunding there, not taking a chance on re-making their item and have the first one show up, which has been the norm.
ETA: Then I get a message from an Etsy buyer who just didn't like it because it wasn't what he expected and wants me to send him a return shipping label. Um..Hail NO!!! Not when it was described in depth in the listing with measurements and had several photos, including close ups. If he wants his money back, he'd better ship it back!

No problems with Amazon here either. I don't have Prime but I usually get stuff in 2 days if FBA.
No problems with FedEx either but most of my FedEx stuff now comes from Chewy.

My mom buys a lot of junk stuff from a friend in Bend OR (3 hours away). Her friend took everything to her post office on Monday. She messaged my mom yesterday, because she said after none of her packaged got scanned, she went to the post office to see why and was told that not only were they not scanned, they are still sitting in the back waiting to get onto trucks. Apparently, they don't have the manpower to scan and load them right now, but they are supposed to go out by this weekend. So, they have been sitting there for 4+ days with no action at all.

Looks like package from GA made it to Cleveland, but mine's still showing it's in Cleveland. Might be the same facility so maybe they'll run into each other. If it took 5 days to make it from my P.O., it's still anybody's guess who will get their package first, or maybe the same day. Nothing that can't wait, but if I'd had any idea it would be this bad, I would have shipped it early November.

I sold something on Monday. I shipped it on Monday. It is a first class package. Ebay told the buyer it would be there on Friday. Buyer messages me today wondering what is going on and to just let me know she hasn't received it. It has been scanned. It looks like it is stuck at my local post office. It might be there, it might be sitting on a truck somewhere. How am I supposed to know? I respond I'm sorry for the delay and tell her the PO is dealing with a record number of packages and staffing shortages due to COVID. ugh. I have a priority package that only has the acceptance scan from last Saturday. It's a $150 item Ebay told this buyer it should be delivered on Wednesday of this week. So far I haven't heard from this person. I've been trying to figure out if packages mailed at the main PO or the branch PO are more less likelly to get stuck. It seems to be random. I've been looking at 1st class vs priority and its pretty equal. I think packages mailed on weekends are a little more likely to get stuck at my local PO.

I have a $100 snow globe labeled all over going down to Georgia Priority. Had it scanned Monday morning. Hopefully the fragile labels help it from sitting in the cold.

And hopefully frustrated P.O. worker(s) won't use the package as a soccer ball.

I don't know if Posh does, but when I got notices for two stuck in transit I put email notification on both of them and just posted to my buyers that I was aware of the problem and tracking them. The reason I have Posh still running is that they seem to be more on top of things than eBay or Etsy. eBay, however, is fixing that - they put the date of arrival for one stuck package way out - so far I have only one 'request' open and the buyer is being nice about it.

I did it on the purchased item - just copied their name and tagged them in a post on the purchased item and let them know that way. LOL:

I ordered some toys from Amazon last Tuesday and they they were delivered Saturday morning - By my mailman. It kind of made me angry. I want UPS to worry about their own packages instead of Amazon. ( I have no idea if USPS makes a profit or not from doing Amazon deliveries). I have more "lost" packages in this month then I do in 20 combined years of selling online. My local post office is great and I know that USPS is doing the best they can. I can't wait to see how this all shakes out.

Seeing some process with older stuck packages but still have one that hasn't had any updates since 12/8. I've had a few say missent in tracking, not sure what that means exactly. One ended up being delivered with no problems so hopefully the other one will too. Trying not to look at packages that have been mailed in the last 7-10ish days. Been mailing mostly priority for a week or so.

I received a package that was just a first class shipment yesterday (Sunday). I had needed it by Saturday, but it had been stuck somewhere. I don't remember where as I have a couple more coming to me that are still stuck and several stuck on their way to my buyers. I signed up for the notices but I'm getting so many, I don't know which package is which without sitting down at my computer to figure it out.

I have a solution to the problem of not knowing which package it is. You don't have to use your real name for the email. Just use the name or description of the item. I get emails saying things like, "Hello Eileen Fisher dress" or "Hello Blue Tablecloth," etc. It makes things much easier. Today I received an email from USPS saying, "Hello Kinkade Puzzle, Your item arrived at our SAINT PAUL, MN 55131 destination facility on December 21, 2020 at 10:40 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination." This is a Priority package that was picked up on Dec 4 and hasn't been scanned until today.

Looks like my P.O. is making extra runs as I woke up to find my package from GA arrived this morning at 8:29am and, sure enough, it was downstairs under where the mailboxes are. My package to GA, unfortunately, shows it's "in transit to the next facility" as of 12/21. I'm still hopeful she gets it by Christmas.
As much as there are things I'd like to order, I'm very hesitant to do so until the backlog is "unclogged".

I must have had a weird premonition in November because I made sure that I was well stocked in the hair and make up department. In the grand scheme of things it couldn't be more unimportant but it would really suck to run out of your favorite shampoo or moisturizer while you package was in transit for weeks. Only know of one place locally that sells my shampoo and it's significantly more than what I pay on Ebay.

I had two orders zip right thru the mail but I have some others that have me holding my breath.
I sent a box parcel post to my family with an estimated delivery date of 12/21 - it hasn't had a scan since leaving Omaha a week and a half ago. I don't have hope this one will arrive before Christmas.
I have a box of candy I ordered from a local company that was sent priority - it hasn't been scanned since the 16th.
The other one might be my own fault - I bought something from a FB ad without doing any research. It was from a site called Kitchen Souffle and I ordered a danish dough whisk. I am generally a super vigilant person but I don't know what I was thinking that night - I am now not so sure that the site wasn't a scam. Honestly, the site looks legit but the tracking number shows that USPS still awaits the item and it has been over a week. We shall see - I used my credit card so I might have to look into disputing it.
