A whole day and nobody has mentioned critters? Oh the humanity. Seriously, what are we going to do about critter posts? Lots of us have them, or should I say are owned by them, and we do tend to talk about them just a teeny tiny bit. Should they have their own board, or be part of general where everyone can share in their majesty?

My slave driver PT come every other day and really works me, but it's worth it because I'm improving and feeling better every day.

I think we definitely need a place for Critters.
Or just an Off Topic area in general.
Otherwise Shirley and I will run off the track on other threads for sure.

HI all! You're IN the general off-topic area now. Do we need divisions within this area, or let it flow like the Off Topic area elsewhere?

Yes, the Avatar thing is fun. I need to get out of this hot top and put on my bathing suit like you, shirley.
And apparently I need more color in my background.
Probably let it flow, Val, but I guess we can see as we go along.

I'm thinking that as the board grows the need for new areas and divisions will begin to show themselves and can be addressed then. The major things we kind of know and can address now, but who can predict the direction and flow the board will take in the future.

Well, I couldn't figure out how to do the colors but at least I got my clothes changes. You can change colors in each of the different categories; hair, eyes, clothing, accessories, etc. In this case click on the clothing category to open it. Then look below the clothing icon (at the top of the screen) there will be a bar (when you first do it the bar will be 2 shades of gray), click on the bar and it brings up the color options. You can play with it from there, but there are pretty much unlimited options. When you do choose what you want make sure to save it, otherwise all your effort will be lost. The only thing I would change is I wish it left the previous versions of your avatar on the board and just changed to the new one from then until you changed it again. Oh, and I would like if there was a basic head with a bit of age to it, no wrinkles in sight on those little alien heads.

I think we should make a "critter corner" in the off-topic area for all thread relating to pets. I think its a big enough topic to deserve its own spot.

Those wild pets can be hazardous. DH had to run away as he was getting goosed because he ran out of bread. I'm still laughing - too bad I didn't have the camera with me.

They are hazardous. If I drop the bread on the dock I am afraid to pick it up because the male swan will attack. He has chased me several times in the kayak and he killed 2 geese also. I guess he just thinks he is protecting his family, but he does have a mean streak. I never moved that fast in a kayak before and my neighbor was throwing bread in the water to distract him so i could get away. They are still really pretty and they know this house because they make a beeline straight for it to get fed.

They really are beautiful, even if they are territorial and can be mean.
How deep is the water there Clean? Is it frozen solid or just the top?

Its only about 4 - 6 foot depending on the tide. Only the top is frozen and it breaks pretty easy because its salt water.

Or maybe it's madras. Not sure if anyone remembers the madras craze quite a few years back, or maybe it was just a CCB thing.

The local Pets On Parade is on TV right now. 2 of our 4 kitties were on that show. My husband and I are afraid to watch it, because we would want more. I think we are at our limit. Just can't resist those little rascals. Every Arizona Humane Society employee we have talked to, has at least 6 cats and/or dogs.

Working with rescue or a shelter definitely will tend to increase the number of animals that you have. It just goes with the territory.
