Me too! I photographed all my new inventory earlier and have been struggling to just sit down and get to work.

My cat does get off the counter when I tell him to.
He goes over and walks on the computer keyboard instead.

Bitty is at that stage. I tell her No, or to get down and she looks at me like really, you want me to do what?

Time for some tough love, Shirley. Get out the squirt gun.

Ahhhh I hate doing that.
But I am going to have to. She is into and onto everything and the other cats look at her and then at me and you can just see them thinking why does she get away with that.

Boundaries, shirley, boundaries.
Bitty needs to learn that there are boundaries.
I waited too long with Daisy and I am paying the price.

I will get a squirt gun today, I think Family Dollar has already gotten theirs in. She's such an adorable angel...when she's sleeping, but so full of piss and vinegar the rest of the time. Yep, I now remember why I haven't raised a kitten in ages.

You're forgetting that when you tell a cat " Don't do that", what the cat hears is " Don't do that right now".... As soon as your back is turned, it's OK to go right back to whatever they were doing.

You're forgetting that when you tell a cat " Don't do that", what the cat hears is " Don't do that right now".... As soon as your back is turned, it's OK to go right back to whatever they were doing. Exactly! Around here with Daisy its apparently OK to wreck havoc in the dark. Daisy is now pretty good about staying off the bar and counters during the day but all Hell must break loose once the lights are out. Most mornings whatever was on the bar is now on the kitchen floor. I can't close off the kitchen but now the main bathroom door is also closed overnight because apparently she is not content with clearing the bathroom counter. The other night I awoke to crashing noises from that bathroom and Daisy was knocking things off the wall. She was standing on the counter and reaching up and whacking ceramic fish and bubbles right off their nails. Daisy was the first kitten I had raised from foster in a long time and she taught me the lesson that you can never start with the squirt gun early enough.

So appropriate Alli. I just read that we're in for 3 days of more slop. Snow and ice tomorrow, heavy rain Wednesday, turning into heavy snow overnight into Thursday. I'm so over this crap...

She's plotting.
Probably her human's demise.

Sorry to hear that Sunset. Went to put my recycling out in the parking lot last night and had to walk through the snow piles, because the walkway was covered with about 1" of ice from yesterday's melt. And now gearing up for the next 3 days of winter weather.
