Instead of 'go back to classic' it says "where is classic label printing" & then took me to a survey, which I filled out, BUT it never took me to classic printing.
Anyone figure out a workaround yet?

Nope. I just use the new format. It's not that bad once you get used to it.
It does look like something designed for a kindergartner though.

I was able to work around it just a few hours ago. I do it only because I get tired of futzing with the box dimensions when it actually makes no difference. The new label form, though is MUCH improved - they've tightened it up so it has less white space and items grouped more efficiently, it has all alternate shipping methods now with cost for the weight you input in a drop-down. The only drawback is that it forces you to enter dimensions; if it was a difference that MADE a difference I wouldn't object. I guess I could go back to putting 12 x 12 x 12 in them.
ETA: Yeah, agree it's kind of juvenile looking with big fonts, etc., but at least it works now, and unfortunately dumbing down seems to be the name of the new mobile game (not a knock on mobile users, of which I am one, but of the capabilities of mobile apps, which by necessity are more stripped down, so it looks a bit ridiculous sometimes in a web app).

I've never entered dimensions and the labels print out fine.

I've never entered dimensions and the labels print out fine. It won't let me print out labels above 16 oz without dimensions - I get alerted to fill them in. I fiddled with the dims for quite a while to see if they made a difference, but they never did. ETA: Another 'experience' I suppose - it may change over time. I've had utilities update and change when I go to use them.

Yeah, I realized I said "AM", well, it's morning to me , it actually just happened now, almost 4pm in the afternoon. I couldn't find a way around so I had to use the new one. It didn't force me to do dimensions under 1lb, so that's good. But yeah, the screen is ugly & stupid & has all these pictures. I kept having to hit some button to update the $$ results any time I changed weights too, which used to happen automatically. It worked though. I know I'm going to get annoyed having to fill in dimensions, when it doesn't matter. ETA: The dimensions are OPTIONAL under a lb, not optional over 1 lb, maybe Val's val2525 pkgs were under 1lb.

It's worth seeing if it works without dimensions over 16 oz - since they weren't necessary in the classic label they may have rolled out a couple of versions of this new label um...'experience' (why not call it a utility?) some with the necessity, others without. Etsy I can't print a priority label without dimensions and never have been able to, but again, they make no difference as long as they're under 36", and even sometimes if they're over 36".

I don't think it does, it says right on the screen that they are optional under 1 lb. Which implies they are required >1lb. I don't have another one right now to see the exact wording, but it's very clear. About the only thing on that screen that is clear LOL.

I either ship FC or padded FR PM mailer. If it's over a lb and a box, I use pirateship. That's probably why I haven't had to enter dimensions.

The only time I've used eBay labels lately is when I had a couple of separate transactions that needed to be combined, otherwise I just use Pirateship on everything now.

Just curious for those using Pirateship, which I've never used, does it port the tracking number directly to Ebay or do you have to manually click "Mark As Shipped" on Ebay & copy in the tracking number? TIA.

TIA. You link it to eBay and it imports your awaiting shipment orders, then after you buy shipping it sends the tracking info back. It looks strange at first, but I love it. I especially like the reports. It shows what zone your shipments go to; mine mostly go to zone 7 and 8 (25% to zone 7 and 46% to zone 8).

I might give Pirate Ship a try. I do mostly FC and Padded so haven't tried it before.
I did my first label on the new Ebay label page and I don't like it. The old form was easier for me.

Pirateship has pretty much a seamless integration - I use it on two different sites. Unfortunately, it's the same price, or more expensive, for most of my items. I do much better using it for international first class (simple export) and smaller but heavier envelopes where it's a good savings. A lot is to do with what one sells, and I sell a lot of heavier items in larger boxes, big coats, DVD players, etc. Also I can't always get the international integration to work for Etsy, not sure why, but it's spot on for eBay.

First class mail international is a lot cheaper through Pirateship. I also like the cleaner labels (no eBay or PayPal logos). I pay the same for media and first class, but the international, reports and integration with Discogs is enough for me to use it.

I've used it since they came out with it, took a little bit to get use to it but it's fine once you do. Just as easy as the old form. Like anything else it takes some adjustment but it's not a big deal once you do.

I mostly use the new form and have done so for awhile, but I still don't like it. It seems to me like they keep changing it, but it may be my imagination. Changing the type of priority selection I find especially confusing. Under "USPS packaging", they don't say medium or large flat rate, they just say medium or large so at first I thought that mean a medium size or a large size box. But then I realized there is a tab for "custom size" and that is where you fill in dimensions and also realized that meant medium and large referred to flat rate box sizes. Grrr. But then I ordered some more boxes of both sizes, and lo and behold they just say medium or large without saying flat rate so it's actually the post office confusing the issue! I thought to myself "those poor newbie sellers".

The only glitch so far is that I wasn't able to access my Etsy sale to Dublin through Pirateship - I'm not sure why. It may have been a temporary problem and if I hadn't been in a hurry and could wait, might have updated shortly - they probably have periods of high use. I went ahead and shipped through Etsy even though I knew I'd save a couple of dollars anyway through PS. Usually I'm not so hurried.

Just a heads up - the padded flat rate PM mailer is cheaper on ebay shipping that Pirateship.

I still have a link to be able to switch to classic printing. It's it the upper right hand corner when I have the "Print your shipping label" screen up. That's where I've always found it, but maybe there was another way to access it that I didn't know about and that's gone now. Or maybe mine will disappear over the next few days like other changes happen in waves.

I still have that link to the Classic Shipping but clicking it leads to that "Oops, we can't find that page" page.

I've had the new shipping page for months and can't get back to the old one. Every time I try it, it won't work.
I hate the new format - I often need to change the shipping weight for the label and this seems to be a hassle compared to the old format. And the blocks are too big and too light colored, almost seems like a dark gray font to me, everything looks washed out.

I'm used to the new shipping page but I can't print a 15.9 oz label. I have to use pirate ship and manually enter 15.9 oz.

I got to the old shipping page this morning but it wouldn't buy my label or print it.
Went to the new shipping page and printed it there.

I'm used to the new shipping page but I can't print a 15.9 oz label. I have to use pirate ship and manually enter 15.9 oz. On the old one, you bought 16oz FC & when it printed the label, it automatically printed as 15.9. RU saying that's not the case anymore? I haven't had one on the new page yet, but I've been stuck in the new page only...I had to print 12 labels this AM, all with the new page :-(

I've done OK with the 16 oz for first class with the new page.
What I did find out is the PFR is 'sticky' - I have a hard time shifting it to non-PFR, it kept reverting no matter how often I chose 'priority package' and changed dims. I finally went to the classic view and did it there. Pirateship had more expensive rates for what I was shipping or I would have just done it there.

I guess I need to play around with it more. When I select 16 ounces it seems to default to 1 lb so the price is for priority shipping. It's probably something that I'm doing wrong.

When I get one, I'll post if there's a trick to it. I've been selling like crazy these last few weeks, so I should have one pretty soon.

I HATE the new shipping label page!! Especially as I now have to scroll up to see everything.
Tonight I had seven labels to print. I started after 9:00 PM central, and because the ship date can't be seen without scrolling (and I didn't check - after all, it's late on Monday night), I have now discovered (too late!) that all the labels have TODAY's date instead of tomorrow's. Arrgh!!
