It's raining cats & dogs here today... WAY too wet to go outside. So I decided to get to work on my Poshmark closet. So far I have 5 listings up and over 100 followers?!! The following thing is gonna take some getting used to but I was a newbie selling contemporary clothes on eBay once upon a time (seems like forever ago) so I'll adjust. I REALLY have to thank everyone that has shared & encouraged each other here. This is a very special community!!
I'm simply Retromonde on Posh. I'll add my urls to my tagline later tonight after my laptop charges & I get more pix ready.

POSHMARK seems to be a major time suck, HOWEVER, I find that I really am enjoying it. Everyone seems to really want each other to succeed, & support each other by congrats & sharing. I have met some really nice people through POSH already, and now sales seem to getting more consistent. I wish you much luck with your new closet Retro! I hope you like being a Posher!

Gawd - it's a time suck, yes! I actually have a swollen tendon in my right hand from mousing so much. And you do have to keep it up. You can listen to audiobooks, podcasts, etc. whilst doing it, though. I've had to take a break and my sales just died there, so definitely constant engagement is necessary. On your cell, you can click on "New People" and then click on the posh ambassadors or the new people. Easy to just click, click away. I follow the people who follow me while I am having my meals. |

Thanks a lot! It's going to be an adjustment having a limited amount of space for the description & title... they're both really much shorter than any other place I've listed. Guess I'll have to add following to my daily to-do list :-)

Mercari's title is even shorter! But they allow more space for the description. Suits are a real challenge for me, since I have measurements for all of the pieces.
I hit revise on my description in eBay, remove some stuff, then copy and paste it to Poshmark. Then I post it on Mercari. But I don't submit the revisions to eBay, of course.

I recently signed up on Poshmark. Not selling (yet), but if you see a new follower "ThursdayAddams", that's me. I think it drops the caps.
I'm still adding boardies to follow as I read posts, so adding your links to your IDs here is a great help.

Go to that person's closet, and under every listing photo you will see a heart, conversation bubble, and two arrows making a circle-like thingie. Clicking on the heart means you like that item, click on the middle icon (the conversation bubble) to leave a message about that item, and the arrow thingie icon shares that listing to your followers. kat or chapeaunoir please correct me if I'm wrong.

If I feel I need to contact them, I just copy & paste their @closet name in the comments section of MY Meet the Posher listing & send them the message that way. Anyone have any better ideas on how to do this? If you open their closet and click on the shopping bag (bundle icon) at the upper right hand corner of the screen, it will open their ‘bundle’. Even if no items have been added, you can have a non public conversation using the comment field at the bottom. |

Just be sure that anything that sells on one site you immediately end on the other. I forgot once when I was new and a coat NO ONE had cared about for about two years sold on both sites within a matter of hours of each other.

I just now sold something on Ebay that is also listed on Posh. I went to remove it from Posh and someone had just put it into their bundle. I know that bundles don't often sell for me, but the way my luck runs is she would have bought it if I hadn't removed it from Posh. |
