I'm glad to know that!
I've been having orders coming in on Posh on a regular basis, so the sharing is definitely helping (I do a lot of sharing three times a day). I've been taking some lower-ish offers on stuff I've had for a couple of years-plus and couldn't get rid of on eBay. Other offers are very decent and a few buy outright. It goes right out the door on Poshmark, sometimes for more than I had marked it down for on eBay. I was jumping up and down when a coat I've had for three years finally sold - it's so danged bulky that it would cost $17 to ship east of the Mississippi on eBay, but under 5 lb so goes for the usual Poshmark base rate. Win/win for me and the buyer.

I had someone buy something on the 26th, shipped same day. It still doesn't show delivered, so I clicked on tracking, which shows waiting on buyer to pick up since the 29th of Nov! How long does she have? Am I ever going to get my money or is it going to be returned to me? I wrote Posh but haven't gotten a reply yet.

I also feel an insane satisfaction when I get to ship something that weighs 3 pounds from NY to CA for $6.49. I hope the buyer realize what an awesome deal it is! I am also selling there daily. Today it's just 3 low $ cheapo stale items, but few days preceding that I did really well.

Good to know everyone is getting a few sales from sites other than eBay. I too, have had a few sales on Posh the past few days. Also some low ball offers that I countered up a bit, but glad to get rid of things I don't have to now relist on eBay.
I also had a HUGE surprise last night & got 2 Host Picks in the Men's Style party. I was shocked. I got tons of people following & congrats from them, but neither item sold yet. I will never catch up on the following/sharing thing though, especially after last night. I am several days behind. But, since I was doing it anyway, I did our little VSB list first. Never know who is watching what! Good luck and Happy Poshing ladies!
Back to work for me. I suppose you all know the PO is closed tomorrow. Denise mentioned it yesterday, and now it is official. RIP President Bush.
Also, Happy Hanukkah to any others celebrating Hanukkah. It seems like it got lost this year with everything else going on & that it fell so early in the month.

Congrats on the two host picks, even if they do t sell during the party the exposure and followers are nice.
I got one last night too. The funny thing is, the top is one of the first things I put on posh and has been a host pick twice before. I ended and reposted it at least once to get rid of all the likers - if they aren’t going to pony up $12 after six months they aren’t real likers. I don’t know why it’s been chosen three times when I have a lot of cuter things. This top is outdated and plus size.

I have one that can't be delivered to an address on Lexington Avenue in NYC - to some kind of law or accounting firm from the sounds of the name. The buyer wonders what goes on - I checked and said that it may be best for her to stop at her post office on Thurs. if she can and see if she can claim it there. It was one of those oldies I was SO glad to get rid of, and now its haunting me. It's a screaming deal for the buyer and a near give-away for me because I'm so sick of looking at it. I had this feeling that it would come back to haunt me. So, I guess I'll have to see how this works out, too. Yes, Posh is a far better outlet than Tradesy - I'll probably just close my closet on Tradesy as I just don't have time to track all of these places.

Not much can go wrong for you if the buyer doesn’t get it. Posh will reimburse both of you. If it ends up back to your door you can keep it and look at it some more. If your buyer is miffed she can leave you a low score but no one can see it.

Wow! I feel like we get good value for that 20% commission, really!
If it ends back at my door I'll see if she still wants it and make a listing for her, I guess. Or decide that the Universe is trying to tell me something and just donate it (it doesn't fit me).

I like Poshmark a lot. Last month I even matched my Ebay sales in $ amount. I've bought a few things that were really nice. The only issue I have is the extreme lowballers. Um, I am not selling a $40 or $50 item for $10!! Or $11...or $12, so you can stop offering more in those one dollar increments!
I really like the shipping too. I sent an almost 5 pound wool peacoat to CA and it only cost the buyer $6.49.

Ugh, since this is the first time I’ve used the “recent threads” link and since I have avoided moving into other selling venues so never clicked into the Poshmark section, this is the first time I’ve read anything in this thread. Great that you guys are doing well there, but now I’m thinking I should try listing a few things there. I have plenty of stuff I wouldn’t mind low dollars for but can’t even get that on eBay for them. Maybe they wouldn’t sell on a Poshmark either, but I have such a hard time donating stuff once I’ve gotten it listed. I mostly donate stuff that’s not worth listing. Maybe in the new year...

Maybe they wouldn’t sell on a Poshmark either, but I have such a hard time donating stuff once I’ve gotten it listed. I mostly donate stuff that’s not worth listing. Maybe in the new year... LIST IT. List everything. Anything and everything. Posh is not necessarily for low $ stuff. I sell things for more money than it's listed for on ebay all the time. Just an example, I sold a sweater for $69 recently. It was listed on ebay for $31.49. Of course, some stuff sells for a little less, but that's ok. I am doing very well with Talbots there, believe it or not. Poshmark for me has been a breath of fresh air. I do not know why, but buyers seem to be a lot less entitled. A LOT. I only had one BS case there and it was decided in my favor. Generally it's a lot more seller-friendly. They don't get to return for fit. A boardie lost a case for fit there recently, because buyer claimed wrong measurements. Well, when the item came back and she provided pics proving measurements were correct, Posh reimbursed her! In my eyes, the less of my business ebay gets, the better. I have nothing, but disgust for ebay there days. And please let us know your closet name, if you do end up listing there.

somany I agree with makin. It’s free to list and listing is fast, especially if you already have the Ebay listing. If your pictures are rectangle, you can just go to your eBay listing and screenshot the square view and use that if you don’t want to hassle with redoing things. I have the same experience that some things are cheaper and some go for more than eBay.

I'm just now paying attention to my posh stats.
How do I find new poshers to like and share their items? And what is a love note and how do I leave one? I've left positive feedback and stars.

In the app go to your settings ----> find people ------>new closets.
There's a way to do it in the web app but it's tedious as it's not broken down into new closets and just new members.
You give love notes on items you purchase when you leave stars.

I've only bought 1 item (2 but second hasn't came in yet) and I left them stars and comment but it says I have left 0 love notes. Off now to find newbies, thanks!

Yes, it is so easy to bring up the posh ambassadors or new members to follow on your cell and just click, click, click...at 7 per page.

I have 100's of followers daily to follow back. And now some of them send a fancy "thank you for following"! Way too much work there!

You're doing great! You've got twice as many followers as I do with equal sharing. I share my closet a lot - maybe I should do more following others instead and just share parts of my closet. I need to get those numbers up.

Ok, I created a different thread for asking for newbie tips etc before re-reading here from the beginning but am going to ask a couple of questions here instead. Many thanks to the boardie that pointed me here :-) My mind is kinda blown- who exactly pays shipping? The buyers? Without drama or anything? I don't have to hide 'free shipping' in the cost of the item? Bundling suddenly makes sense to me!
My new 'FREE' ipad from Xfinity just now arrived. Once I get it charged I think I'll load the Posh app and create an account. I've been passing up nice stuff when shopping lately cause I'm sick of eBay and clothing. Posh just might work for me!

First-is the "free" iPad offer still going on??? I thought it was supposed to end this past August. If so, I will have to tell a few friends who delayed calling in for it.
In Posh, the buyer pays for the shipping, which is 6.49. That makes it kind of weird since the items that can go via FC, still are charged that amount. You do have the option in offers or bundles to give a shipping discount, but that amount will be then paid by you.
That is why Posh encourages bundling.

You'll have to have your friends call and ask; I'm not sure if the offer is good anymore. I took our old equipment into the office in late Sept or early Oct and did some fiddling with our accounts; the cable account had got separated from the internet account yet again and was costing us more than necessary. We renewed our 1 year contract and did an upgrade from basic to expanded basic cable to see if our tv selection would improve ( it didn't really. There's must MORE stuff I have no interest in watching now lol). The person helping me didn't mention the iPad offer but I saw it on the receipt and asked about it. The only catch was that we had to keep our upgrade for 3 months before I got the iPad. So voila, I have a new iPad as of today. Having trouble with Apple passwords and other misc but will mess with it this week and get all my devices to talk to each other eventually.
As far as the free shipping- after having the necessity of FS drilled into my brain by both eBay and Etsy it just caught me off guard.

With Mercari, I like the fact that we can choose to have the buyer pay for shipping or we can offer it for free....same as eBay.

Selling on Poshmark guide: poshmark.com/what_is_poshmarkETA: Poshmark only accepts clothing, accessories and make-up/grooming. Also, the single shipping amount is good for up to 5 lb.
