I wasn't complaining about eBay, but instead I was complimenting Mercari.
My eBay sales are the same as they have always been and about 60% of what I sell on there has been listed for several years.
The stuff that I sold on Mercari was actually priced lower on eBay. It does help that Mercari lets us list clothing AND misc, and they don't push for the bundling concept. (My own opinion, of course).

I might try Mercari, though I'm juggling a lot as it is. I'm just wanting to get rid of a lot of stuff that's over 2 years old.
Above I was talking about just maximizing what one has, and working with eBay, for instance, doing it - like everyone else, I need a good income coming in but in my case am very constrained for space, and renting anything here, even reasonably sized storage unit, is prohibitively expensive (I was going to rent a small room-sized one for an office but it was about $600/mo to start, even for a little cube much less a decent size). Also, I'm tired of taking up much of the basement with this stuff - I want the room back, so I needed to change some things, using eBay's guidelines and my own knowledge of how these kinds of distributed DBs work (which is very basic).
Putting that stuff on Mercari was a very good idea - it's maximizing resources! I may try that, too. If it's share-share-share like Posh it might be kind of tough, but I have a bunch of vintage to blow out.

I have the room for everything. So that isn't a problem with me. I just pity when my daughter has to get rid of all of it!
I list on eBay, and if clothing, I copy and paste the description to Posh, and then Mercari. Mercari has a lot more room for descriptions, unlike Posh. But their title is only 40 characters. Misc items are listed on eBay and then Mercari.
There is no following or sharing requirements, but they tell you when someone likes your item, so I then follow them. I am going to try their 5% promos and see how that goes.
The cut for Mercari is only 10%.

I just signed up and listed a Japanese jinbei - I'm Chaos Rising there. It certainly is easy! I'll do more later. eBay is on the back burner for now so I can get this other stuff up and going. In sign-up I didn't find anywhere to put a referral I may have missed it, but I didn't see anything.

I don't even know how to find you on there, since there doesn't seem to be a place to search for sellers. I will look for you, though.

I found you by searching for your Jinbei and I left a love note on it.

Question-how do you leave feedback for buyers? I was searching all around for this on Mercari and there is a subject for buyers about asking the seller to leave a feedback.

FYI-if anyone wants to try Mercari, ask one of us sellers for an invitation since you will get a $10 credit (we get a $2 credit) if invited.

I can invite you, but I have to do it via Facebook or Yahoo mail, I think. I can't see a code anywhere to send to you. If someone else knows where to find it, they can do it. You would get a $10 credit, I would only get $2, so no biggie for me. If you want to PM me your Facebook name or email, you can. Unless someone else wants to do it. I'm going to bed soon, so will check in the morning.

I figured this would happen. Mercari is raising their shipping rates. Still not bad though for under a pound for me on the East Coast.
Will take effect Feb 25.
