Well it seems I'm slowly leaving everywhere but Ebay. First I axed Thred Up and now I think I'm done with Tradesy.
The only thing is I can sell for much more on Tradesy than on Ebay But it is now much riskier.
Last month I got a return. The buyer deliberately ripped the shirt all under the arm. Tradesy customer service just kept passing me down line. I finally just gave up.
Now it looks like I'm getting a brand new top back. I'm afraid the buyer damaged it again. But regardless, it is expensive and over 100.00. They've been holding 140.00 for over about 3 weeks.
If everyone had to wait 3 or 4 weeks for payment, alot of people would be out of business.
Even when I transfer the funds they take another 4 or 5 days to out it in my Paypal account.
Ugh! I don't like Tradesy!

I wondered if this type of thing was going to start happening. The buyers that Ebay and Amazon have created are migrating.
The 3 - 4 weeks for payment is ludicrous though.
Sorry this happened to you.

I had 2 good sales from there. Then they started announcing all their changes with holding money, etc. That's when I shut all my listings done there. I don't regret it.
Sorry this happened. GRR!

As terrible as we think Ebay reps are; at least we have a chance.
With Tradesy they don't care.

I got a SNAD return for fairly expensive item. It came back with a tiny rip at the seam. For the life of me, I don't remember it being there... might have been intentional damage by the buyer too.

Tiny rip sounds like she was too big but tried it on anyway.
Sorry, jelly. That really sucks.

I ended my listings there a few months ago. The wait for payment was just too long. I was afraid they'd go bankrupt and keep my money. A few weeks after ending everything, I made a sale! Somehow my listings were all back. I've ended them again.

That's a problem on that site and I've written to them twice about it now - frequently deleted listings reappear - I had to cancel two orders because of this.

I forgot to check in there for a few days, which I usually do. I also have a different email address for them that I hardly ever check. Well I just logged into Tradsey and I just lost a sale. It was for $42.00, lost because I didn't confirm the sale on time. I check and check that place every few days since I started and nothing, now I get a sale when I lag off. Can't win!
I checked the email and it said I could send a message to the buyer, so I did write to her and tell her the item was available and sorry, I was away for a few days. I restored it - they had dumped it into the removed section.

That stinks Desire.
I forgot to update this thread. I got the top back with what looks likes a water stain on the shoulder. It was not there when I sent it.
I haven't listed or sold anything there since.

I was thinking of selling on Tradesy. Another seller in my area was telling me she will only sell on Tradesy now and got better prices for her handbags. If they hold money, that's a huge bummer. Is the hold just for new sellers or everyone?

@rcpb I took most of my listings off of Tradesy, but still have a few left up. Sold a pair of jeans on 8/22, they were delivered 8/26, but they won't release the funds until 9/18.

And this kills me! Because I have a lot of great stuff that would do better on Tradesy. But I don't trust them at all. So, I'm willing to take less (not as less as it actually sounds since their fees are double eBays) and just get them sold on eBay. Also considered Cross Posting on Poshmart too! We'll see.
But Tradesy and ThreadUp - I'm totally done with no matter how tempted I am.

That's going to drive sellers away. They are floating your money like a bank. Crazy. I have no desire to list there now. Maybe, if i have an item on ebay that i absolutely can't sell there, maybe i'll try tradesy.

All of the things I have on Tradesy are also listed on Ebay. I'll leave them on Tradesy for a while, but I'm not adding anything new there.

But Tradesy and ThreadUp - I'm totally done with no matter how tempted I am. I still send bags to ThredUp on a regular basis, because the payout has been pretty good, my last bag got me $327 + $ potential $160 for consignment items. Also, I really like that I can choose expedited processing now. There are just some brands that I can't sell and they seem to sell those well. I also like to get the extra money without putting much work into it. I just started listing on Tradesy last month, but I am beginning to re-think that. I sold 3 items so far, they were all lower priced items. After Tradesy's fee it won't leave me with much profit. I make more sending the stuff to ThredUp. Also signed up with Poshmark, haven't listed anything yet. Just following all these other sellers and attending party's just seems like a full-time job to me. I don't think that's so much my thing.

I was reading the policy on Tradesy about the funds. Its says funds may be held either 5 days or 21 days yet they dont state what the criteria is for the 5 days. I may try it with a stale item. Ebay was very steady for me up until a few weeks ago and then boom. It was like they turned me off.

As usual I don't make much sending stuff to Thred-Up - the last was $22 or something with $45 in consignment, each for a few dollars. I don't find enough good stuff for it to be worthwhile - I can donate and write it off on my taxes and do better on it, and be sure I get *something* out of it. Thred-Up sells stuff cheaper than I can buy it here for, as well.
I sell on Tradesy but not a lot.

I sell very little on Tradesy but it's always for more money than eBay. They are very slow to give you your money after requested. I think they crawl it over in bag full of pennies.
