Totally forgot about it. Was sitting here curious what was so special about it. Logged in and didn't see anything spectacular. Went to their FB page to see if there was any advertising. Instead, saw a BUNCH of complaints from customers. Wish lists disappearing. Carts getting emptied. Things sold out in 2 minutes. Etc, etc etc. Went to Twitter - most of the #primeday posts were protests against them for advertising on Breitbart (still - this has been an ongoing thing apparently).
No doubt they made their money today - but I wonder how much long "primeday" will be a thing.

Meh. I don't shop Amazon so I didn't pay any attention. Like chic said, though, doing something similar on eBay would be cool.

I just replied to that one I don't know if it was successful or not for them. I think consumers are burnt out on it and only shopped if they really wanted they saw advertised. But there are so many websites out there that help you track down the lowest internet price. Plus eBay's price matching (it's on a lot of similar items that Amazon had for sale). I'm a prime member. I used it tons in the past. Now, not as much. Not really sure why I'm paying the prime membership this year. I'll have to get on and check it out again.......

Well, I shopped. My Points offered 8 points per dollar on any purchase. I bought some things that were in my wish list (vitamins, etc) and two prime day items. One is an LED clip on lamp, usually $19 but was $12 something. This was on my wish list because I need a bit more light when I read in bed. The other is a hand woven Indian bedcover/wall hanging/whatever. Very hippie with the planets and stars.

My neighbor bought a pet grooming kit.
Not sure who she is planning to groom as one cat has short hair and I took the other one to the vet a couple of weeks ago for a major shave down.

kritter, that's for when the fur grows back.
I shopped again and no more. This time was a set of bed pillows (much needed) and some LED light bulbs.
