Hal Lawton posted these clips to FB a bit ago. Sorry, these are FB links to 3 upcoming "But did you check eBay" commercials. I can't find them on the interwebz yet. So, you'll need FB to watch them I believe: www.facebook.com/hal.lawton/videos/10211469715151011/www.facebook.com/hal.lawton/videos/10211469715791027/www.facebook.com/hal.lawton/videos/10211469716591047/For this last one I think you'd have had to see the viral meme to really get a laugh at it. Or not. And please - if anyone can find links to share that aren't FB, share! ETA: Here is what his post said: The next phase of our brand campaign (DID YOU CHECK EBAY) will literally be everywhere...tv, radio, theaters, MLB stadiums, billboards, airports, digital, social, and more. Don't put your stores on vacation mode for too long this summer!

The third one with the little boy was hilarious. But, they seem like they were made in someone's basement and the music is creepy.

I like the boy. He's cute.
Not super impressed, but at least they're advertising.

I think the whole premise of these start with videos that have gone viral in the past.
But yes, I'm glad there's some type of advertising!

Oh, that makes sense. I saw the 3rd video before (the reporter and the little boy who cries) but not the others, so they just seemed nonsensical to me.

I think the first ad from this agency is the best so far, however (the one about shopping in color).

I liked that first ad, too.
Ebay is finally starting to move away from the 'scammy' reputation they carried. It's good they're moving in a forward direction with the advertising. The colorful stuff is a lot of fun.

I saw one of the commercials on ID tonight. I was not impressed.

I think they need to continue working on the Color campaign - it's got something that other sites don't, and it tags on to their colourful logo and huge variety of offerings.
They need to be careful to not dilute their efforts at rebranding by having too many things going on, and I'm afraid they're going to do this.

The way I see it is that can't afford to be marketing the same exact thing to everyone. It's eBay, after all! They need to keep (or bring back the older crowd), 30's crowd and younger crowd (do they even KNOW eBay?) There is something for everyone on eBay.
I may not personally love all the ads, but glad to see they are at least trying to hit different ages/markets.

Yes, they just need to be careful to be able to expand on a identifying theme without diluting it. The colour theme was great because it's so flexible.
ANY decent advertising is good, though, yes.

Heard another ad on the radio while I was driving. It sounded much better than that strange music with the tv ads.
