Just watching the local news and a story comes on about eBay. They are now doing price matching. If you find a lower price, you are supposed to show them the item and they will issue you a coupon for the price difference. Also they are guaranteeing three day shipping. How are either of these even possible?

It's easy for them.
For price matching: It's only for certain advertised items. Guaranteed 3 day shipping: Only for sellers who opt in.
The way I see it is that both of these gimmicks amazing offers could help drive traffic to eBay.
An article I read said they compared some of the "price matching items" and eBay already had the lowest price.

I think it's great, too.
Ebay is finally doing something proactive. The price matching game has been around for a long time in other retail shops. Home Depot, Lowes, and some of the airline and hotels sites will price match if there is a drop in price after you purchase.
As much as I kick ebay around, I'm glad they're finally doing things consumers want. And they're advertising! I think they finally have a good grip on seller scams (not 100%). Now they need to work on search and bringing in the customers.
Amazon has this down to a science. They know what people want before the people do. Ebay needs to keep at it.
