As we've grown and developed, the need has arisen for a review of our forum rules. The mods and admins got together, reviewed and approved the new forum rules, below. Most of these are standard rules/terms of use found on the majority of online forums, so they shouldn't be anything new to anyone.
1. "Trolling" and “Spamming” the forum are prohibited.
2. Hate speech or racism of ANY sort will NOT be tolerated. Such posts will be removed and infractions issued. Do not quote or talk to trolls or your posts will also be deleted. Use the report feature instead.
3. We’re all professionals here, so be civil - no personal attacks, flaming, or insults. We all post opinions on topics. Respectful opinions are desired and encouraged. However, keep in mind that opinions tend to be highly subjective. They’re personal preferences. Leave wiggle room in your word choice for dialogue, others may not see things the same as you, or be as experienced as you, and any one of us can be wrong. Remember, too, YOUR interpretation of someone else’s post will be based on YOUR mood at the moment. So take a time out before posting, if someone’s post rubs you the wrong way.
4. Information posted in the private areas (all sections on the Clubhouse board) is not to be re-posted on other boards, including public boards here and elsewhere, unless permission has been granted by the original poster. This includes IDs of buyers, email addresses, physical addresses, etc. Members doing so will have their membership canceled. Members post private information trusting it will remain so, and no one here has the right to violate that trust.
5. Insulting another member, moderator or administrator will not be tolerated anywhere on this forum.
6. Discussing moderator actions (red posting, warning members, deleting/moving/editing threads or posts) is not allowed in the forums. Concerns on moderator or admin actions should be addressed directly with an admin or moderator via the Private Message feature.
7. We do not wish to control, nor can we control, what you do and how you act outside of the forum, be it personal emails, Instant Messengers or social networking sites (i.e., FaceBook, Twitter, etc.). However, if you use these places to vent or attack anyone in regards to Virtual Sellers Club, it will be counted as happening on VSC and your forum account will be the one to suffer the consequences ranging from temporary posting blocks to outright cancelation of your account here. This is supposed to be a professional seller forum, let’s act accordingly.
8. ProBoards forums have both a time out and a ban feature. Members violating forum rules will receive a formal warning first. Those who continue to violate forum policies will incur a time out (can view but not post) or temporary restriction of account (no forum access at all). For serious offenses, the member account may be closed down completely.
9. Please try to post in the appropriate area for your topic; topics may be moved at the moderators discretion. Admins and mods will request permission from the original poster prior to moving any topic from the Private Clubhouse to public boards.
10. Members have the right to edit or delete their posts at any time. We do ask, though, that you NOT delete your post if you are the Original Poster and it is the first post in the discussion and there are replies. Please edit your OP in this case. If you feel you really need to delete your opening post (and therefore the entire thread), please let one of the admins know and we'll delete the entire discussion.
11. The goal is to make this forum an active resource for members, both business and social. Members are therefore asked to please log in and post at least once every 90 days or membership may be deactivated. Accounts not posted to in over 12 months will be automatically deleted without notice.
12. If you were inactive and deleted for non-posting, you will need to re-apply for membership (ProBoards cannot reactivate deleted accounts).
13. Virtual Sellers Club administrators and moderators reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. Virtual Sellers Club administrators and moderators also reserve the right to ban any user from access to this website for any reason.
14. If you are a prospective member wanting to register and join, be advised that failure to provide us with your selling ID (any site is acceptable) will result in your registration being rejected. We verify all members prior to approval, to weed out trolls and spammers. You can sign up under any name, but if you are not using a verifiable, trackable selling ID to register, you'll need to send us the ID via Private Message.
