I was planning on reopening my Etsy store but 100 days? Sorry that is crazy, tracking doesn't even stay online that long does it? What if someone claims non delivery after it drops off the USPS website? Not to mention 100 days is plenty of time to wear something out. I'd love to think everyone is honest and trustworthy but at least with Ebay I have a bit of protection. Guess I'll stick to selling there instead of expanding.

I saw that and wondered if anyone else would care enough to comment. WTH is up with Etsy lately? 100 days to leave feedback and/or open a case? 60 days seems like plenty of time to note an issue and deal with it. They're working hard at grooming their buyers to eBay standards. And did you notice they tucked that clinker into the bottom of the email?
Hope I"m not a threadkiller on this post- I'd love to hear other comments and opinions.

I abandoned Etsy when they re-did the categories. Well, that and nothing sold

This is supposed to be 'aligned' with the sellers on the Etsy community? Really??
Quite a few sellers are closing their shops because Etsy is also barring paypal stand-alones. I've always taken all payments and been in Etsy Payments so it makes no difference to me, but IMHO it's high-handed to do that.
My shop has all but died over there after doing well almost from the get-go (I started selling in less than a week after opening). The last four months I've tried about everything to increase sales, and finally just purchased Google ads, some credits on Etsy On Sale, just set it and forget it save for tweeting new items. I don't even purchase vintage for it anymore unless it's really great. Before, just about anything sold. I think they introduced Blackbird (data management) in early Feb and it pretty much did me and a lot of others in. Now it's just a hobby shop and I have to work harder in other channels.

That's what I think too... they broke it with all their new improvements. I've lost faith in them as a venue and am slowly moving invo from one store back to eBay. Once that store is closed I'll regroup and decide what's next. After all my time spent selling online I've become pretty cynical about various venues and their "we're helping you" and "transparency" etc. F'em.

I really hate having all my eggs in one basket, even though selling on four and at times five places is a lot to keep track of and I've had some embarrassing flub-ups, but I may end up just dumping everything into one eBay store (after the 3 month promo period for the Karthok store is up) and calling it a day. I'm not building an empire, I just need enough money to come in to pay the bills. But Tradesy is looking wobbly (and I never did sell much there), Etsy seems to be dying unless you sell stuff like supplies, I'd rather not waste my time yabbering with cheapskates on Poshmark (though it may come to it) - I'll keep running along until those options run out and hope that eBay doesn't finally go bust.
