Ya - Cool! I wish we'd get one. I wouldn't adopt, but I would support them.

I met Casey, the owner, about 2 years ago when she came to pick up some canned cat food that I was giving away on Nextdoor Neighborhood. She told me then that she was investigating what it would take to open a Cat Cafe and asked me if I would be interested in investing or partnering. I told her I would think about it but just let it go since I didn't know her or anything about her.
I am glad that she is making her dream come true.

DH and I went to a cat cafe in Tokyo several years ago. It was fun, but I felt a little like I was cheating on my own cat ("Wait- you spent money to pet some strange cats you didn't even know? And you played feather toy with them? Did you at least wear gloves? No? Omigod, how can I ever trust you again!?")But it's a great idea. I'm glad to see them catching on in the US. There's one in Pittsburgh that's run by a local shelter and all the cats are adoptable.

Neat! This made me curious so I googled Cat Cafe's in my area and I found one. It's a wine bar too and there's a calendar of events! www.lagattaracatcafe.com/

I think I just fell in love with those Arizona kitties, especially the Maine Coons. Good thing I don't live there.

I know, their intro's are so well done. Just checked out the photo's, lot's of CCL's wearing fun CCL attire, pants shoes tops. Painting parties, yoga and movie nights too. Looks like so much fun

I took a look at the future location today on my way to the post office and she couldn't have picked a worse place to put the cat cafe. It is in a dilapidated strip center about 1/2 a block long that has a constant rotation of stores moving in and then going out of business. I guess it has cheap rent but just doesn't seem to be a good location for that kind of business. No foot traffic and not even an easy place to get to plus has limited parking. Dingy and just flat old looking building. I would be afraid to leave the cats there overnight for fear of the whole place catching on fire. Glad I didn't get involved with her because I would be pulling her hair out right about now.
