It was a great commercial. I hope it generates in business. Traffic on eBay is not what it used to be, at least for me. I am down 60% from last year on eBay but up everywhere else. I hope it helps a little bit I have been slowly drifting away from eBay.
And from the article, yes we are getting colorful packaging, hooray 😁
That means colorful new packaging for sellers, along with a series of 60-and-30-second TV spots. The new marketing will also include outdoor ads, radio, digital and social . Along with 72andSunny, eBay works with Digitas, Edelman and Blue 449.

Oh I hope they have colored mailers! I used to buy pink ones but from corijenn but I use the free ebay ones now. I'm thinking about going back to pink though I hate to feel like I'm wasting money by not utilizing the free ones.

Love it! I would have changed only one thing. Where it reads "Shop like nobody else" ... "Because you aren't like anyone one else" ... I'd have added, "eBay is like nowhere else". I like that the clothing is presented in a way that it could be new or used, and not brand oriented. I like that they use some plus size ladies, too  |

I watched HGTV's Beach House Renovation last night because it was about a house one block away from our beach house. The homeowner's were shopping on eBay for some of their furniture. They showed the ebay logo and page and when show was over eBay was one of the sponsors.

Although, I'm not a fan of the printed or colored envelopes. I've had the pink ones going on nearly 6 years. I only ordered 100 of them and have about 20 left.

Now people might be disappointed if their stuff coming is the red, blue, yellow and green printed envelopes. And tape. With tissue paper that doesn't match (yeah - I still don't get that one - but I digress) |

Now that's a commercial! Of course, being the color queen, I love it!
I had to buy something from Corijennin the other day & I hadn't in a long time. I noticed that she now had many colorful bag designs, including peacock feather, several flowers, unicorns, I forget what else. I actually put about 5 of them in my cart & then took them out b/c we get the free ones from Ebay. But I was impressed.
I also bought 2 clothing items recently & both came in colored bags, including a really pretty yellow flowers one, both had tissue, stickers, a business card, etc. I may need to up my packaging game. One of the sellers only had about 1200 FB but her packaging looked really nice & professional.
I would be SO down with pink & purple tape :-) Nothing like combining my 2 favorite colors!

Loved the commercial, I actually got a little shiver down my spine (in a good way). My only teeny tiny criticism is that they needed to show the eBay logo more - even just in a subtle way - throughout the commercial. And add in your last line Val! |
