I've gotten like 11 new feedbacks in the past two days - that's more than I normally get in a week. Either eBay's been saving them up (I hate that they don't show the date left anymore) or they've just sent out a bunch of reminders (you know, "you haven't left feedback yet. Were you unhappy? Do you want to leave a negative?")

Mine always seem to come in batches. I got a bunch yesterday that were from really old sales.

Feedback leaving in general is at an all time low it seems. I always think when I get feedback on an older item that they received the email from eBay.

I'm in a Buy/Sell/Trade group on facebook and someone posted that they were irritated because they bought something on ebay and the day after it was delivered they got "an email from the seller" asking them to leave feedback. They were insistent that it wasn't an ebay automated message. Then, the resulting discussion was just like the old days on ebay discussion boards. You know, the buyers that are upset b/c they don't get fb as soon as they pay. Someone posted that buyers fb doesn't even matter any more b/c sellers can't leave negative fb. That poster is probably so lucky they posted with their real name and not their ebay ID. There were so many people arguing about how important a buyer's feedback is

I recently switched to leaving feedback when I ship (or a day or two after if I'm behind) and I think the amount of FB I receive is dramatically lower. Part of me thinks good, they can't ding my stars if they don't leave fb, then I worry that the only fbs I'll get are the ones who want to complain.

Fashion, I started doing it the way you do about a year ago. My feedback received has dropped dramatically.

I have mine auto set when they pay for it. Just a "thank you" feedback. I don't check my feedback much anymore. But I check my dashboard almost daily. Pretty sad, isn't it?

As a buyer I also leave in batches but lately I have been so underwhelmed and unimpressed with my purchases I haven't been leaving any. The old if I don't have anything nice to say just keep my mouth shut. I take chances so some of it is my fault. I received another busted open flat rate cardboard today, it looked like a football. I may email that one but we all know that usually doesn't end well. And another that arrived unwashed, not a huge deal but just gross when food on sleeve I wash everything and yet another that arrived stinking like mildew, that seems to be a common theme sadly.
I have had so many good purchases I am not scared off yet but it is sad to me that all seller don't take pride in what they sell. I know I am preaching to the choir here, lol. Just giving buyer thoughts.
