That is what I have www.upcycledcouture.com on. It is relatively easy to use, though they dont have a lot of free template options. You can customize the ones they have though. They also have an option to buy templates designed by professionals, but they are a bit of money. Usually over $100. I do like that I can have buy buttons on Pinterest and a Facebook storefront. However, I have never had someone buy something from Pinterest and I have never heard of anyone buying anything from Pinterest. Or Facebook.

Shopify has a service for $10 (?) a month that helps with SEO. I havent looked into it yet.

I have always wanted to have (and have attempted to make) my own website. I've always balked at paying $30.00 a month for something that isn't guaranteed to pay for itself. I have seriously been considering doing this again with my CDs and DVDs. I'd like to drive traffic from eBay and to a website and save on fees, but I'm not sure about if it will pay for itself in the long run.

I was going to write a website, then considered all the bits and pieces - writing the thing is pretty easy, but there needs to be a shopping cart, cart management, communication and, well, you know all the rest of it. For $10-20 month Shopify does all that for you AND it has a recognised web presence and a lot of apps and help.
SEO isn't that hard once you get the hang of it - I learned it selling on Etsy and overhauled my listings for Google after they started making changes. I have a bunch of resources.
ETA: It's SLOW growth because it does depend upon one's marketing, but IMHO, we actually have that down because we already have some web presence. I was on shopify for six months but had to quit because I was getting too stretched and had to give something up. I would use the site again in a minute.

I know this an old thread but figure I'd use instead of a new one. Just wondering if anyone uses Shopify yet? If so, how are sales? I'm considering it but I'm not sure if I have time for yet another site. Although this would be different. Lately when I am researching Shopify stores have been showing up before anything else. Thanks for any advice.

One big draw (for me anyway) is that shopify will list your stuff on eBay, Facebook, Amazon and some other sites. Plus it would be nice to have decent traffic reports.
