Wow, that's a big sudden change! I haven't been a Chad fan since he announced the whole 'factory produced is handmade' fiasco. IDK, changing one suit for another doesn't seem to make much positive difference on the ground floor where it counts; ie with us sellers.

He announced layoffs too. I think they shot themselves in the foot when they allowed the mass produced crap on the site.

A lot of it also is that the site has never been a real money-maker and had been operating in the red. Chad decided it turn it into a big data mine, and, well, eBay tried that and we all know how well that went. He said he started it as a 'social experiment' to see how well a bespoke site could do. I would rather call it a 'business venture' but whatever. I've always had the feeling that the vintage area was just an after-thought to fill in the spaces, we're pretty much the red-headed stepchild over there insofar as exposure goes. |
