I have a Samsung Galaxy 4, and the battery has been dying quickly. My 2 year term ends on June 1, so I can upgrade then.
A "Clean Master" app popped up and it looked good, so I downloaded it. It shows a pop-up a few times a day, with notification of areas on my cell that are bogged down, etc. Just takes a few seconds to clean that area.
After downloading it, I did call Verizon for help to extend the battery life, and he suggested this very same app and said that it is very safe and effective.
After using it for a few days, I definitely do have longer battery life.

It's funny that you should bring this up today. I just noticed my Galaxy 4 has been losing the charge faster and ordered a new battery but if I can hold off with the app it will be great. I am going to download it later. Thanks for the heads up.

Doesn't a new battery cost $100? I was afraid to buy a cheap Chinese one.
He also suggested that I google to see what all of the apps that I downloaded do. I download them and don't use them, and they slow stuff down.
And he said not to do the app updates since they just add more junk that we don't need.
He also suggested that I call Samsung for suggestions.
Interesting how the batteries only last 18 months or so.
And we were discussing how a new Galaxy 6 is coming out soon (and it was announced yesterday). So that will decrease the cost of the Galaxy 5.

I just ordered this one. In the past I have ordered batteries for cell phones and they all have worked fine. This is my first smartphone, but the battery looks the same.

My oldest son, Tanner, has the Galaxy S4. He fully charges it over night and takes it to school. By the end of the day it's dead. There have been a couple of times that he wanted to stay at school to hang out with friends and take the bus home and his phone was completely dead so I couldn't get a hold of him. We went out and spent $20.00 on an emergency phone charger, so he charges them both overnight and then uses the emergency charger to charge his phone up after school so his phone doesn't die any more. I hope that made sense, I almost got confused typing it LOL

Do you know anything about the cases that have a charger built into them? My phone was fully charged this morning and by 6:00 it was at 17%. I do not really use it a lot. I wonder if it has something to do with Trivia Crack? I just downloaded it and now I am having this battery issue.

We have the extra external battery as well. My 16YO uses it all the time (he also has the S4) he said that his battery dies so fast b/c twitter uses the location devices, unlike normal texting. I suggested texting over tweeting but...well, I'm lame and old.
I got a new phone in Nov and I LOVE the battery life I upgraded from an S3 to a Turbo X. My battery lasts forever. Even cracking out on Trivia Crack all day. Was waffling between the Turbo & S5 and am soooo happy with my decision. Well, really my DH's decision as he was tired of me going back and forth

I uninstalled Trivia Crack and so far my battery seems to be holding its own. I wonder if it was all those open games that was draining the battery? I ordered a back up battery anyway and will order that portable charging unit just in case.
What a different world today. Even I am connected to my cell phone. I never thought it would happen to me. I remember the days of the pagers. Does anyone else?

And, I'm going to have my DD download that app on her phone. She has an S3 and, much to her chagrin, we're not buying her a new phone until July when her contract renews.

Was just looking to maybe get my first smartphone today. Guy said S6 is coming out April 10th. No word on if there'll be any pricing drops on older models. I'm looking at the Note 4 anyway, which seems to be ridiculously expensive at T-Mobile anyway.

I do remember the pagers! I had one and instructed my daughters to page me if they needed anything while I was doing my cleaning service.
