Someone at ThredUp just lost their job! I meant to post this the other day as soon as I got this email. Got an email from Thredup and the subject line was "Fuq Overpriced Handbags". I was like, "Really ThredUp? I'm so over you". And don't get me wrong. I'll drop the F bomb, and other choice words. However, I know when and where I can use those words. As a subject line to my customers? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Here is a screenshot of the top of the email: I was just checking my email and got this: "Once the mistake was identified" Um, that was no mistake. That was some failing at their job. Anyone else see/notice this email?

I received that email too Shop, I was floored at the lack of professionalism from Thredup. I received the apology also but I call BS on the whole situation. I wonder if they were testing their market and didn't expect the blowback or was it really a rogue employee/lack of oversight.
I had forwarded the email to a customer service rep that I had prior contact with and in subject line I put Totally Unacceptable. I wonder how many others did the same thing, sounds like a lot.

I thought the same thing....are they testing their customer base? But really, I can see a disgruntled employee putting it into the subject line as a little personal joke, then forgetting to change it before pushing send. Check twitter. #thredup Some people are posting about it. I don't see anyone that's upset with it. But here are some tweets: Looks like someone at #thredup fuq'd up. 😂 Some intern at #thredup lost their job today.... @thredup if the apology email was to get me to go back for the original email and browse handbags- it worked. Nice marketing. #thredup @thredup I hope no one was reprimanded for the #fuq email. Had to come to #twitter to figure out apology. Now I follow you #thredup 🤣

I thought it was both funny and dumb. They also have "bad ass moms", don't they? I think they're trying to be 'relevant' in a kind of suburban try-hard way, though kudos for their focusing on moms.
LOL at Liz - some employee having a bad day saying "Fuq this job!" just goofing around and...oops.

This reminds me of the time when DH's boss got a new computer system and they were trying to figure it out. Someone got the bright idea of putting a racial comment on the header of the invoices (auto parts store). They couldn't figure out how to get it off! So they all had to go to hand writing all receipts until the system tech guy could come fix it.
